Good Wi-Fi and the bed was comfortable.

Lack of parking. Clogged bath tub. Inside of microwave and frig. wasn't cleaned. Nail polish on several furnishing. Carpet needs cleaning. Heater/AC filter needs cleaning. Lot music playing at 1am.

Only the female employee on Saturday night was really helpful. Who checked me in

Nothing at all, but the male employee that was there Monday morning was horrible sleeping at the desk, then didn't know anything at all. They have no cable. They have roku tvs for u to sign in your streaming accounts. Definitely will never recommend anyone to come stay at this place. I wish I had taken some pictures, but I didn't

Horrible costumer service

When we arrived at the hotel, our room was a mess. It still had someone's fast-food takeout on the counter, and one of the beds was unmade. When we went to the reception to express our concern (we did not want to stay in a dirty room), the staff member started shouting at us and asking, "What do you want me to do?" He did not even offer to come and clean up the garbage himself; he only said that the cleaners would be there in the morning (after our stay). I understand that there is not much to expect considering the price, but I think going into an unclean room is simply unacceptable. We addressed the issue very politely, which was met with hostility in return. There were more minor issues throughout the stay, most to do with the staff.

Bugs in bedsheets !!!!

-Bed had bugs , we woke up scratching. -Bathroom has hair on towels and bathtub. -They charge deposit of 50 dollars -They charge more if you ask for later check out or early check in. -You can hear all noises from other rooms and doors. -Lights were white and very eye tiring. One lamp was broken. -Dairty hair dryer (very disgusting) -No trashcan inside the room, only in the bathroom. - Broken couch - Dairty bedroom floor.

Practical location, friendly staff but desperately needs a refresh on its rooms.

Checkin was fine and team member was polite and professional. Location was good as it was very close to airport which is what we were looking for.

There were dirty towels left behind the door which i guess were forgotten by the cleaning team. The general state of the room was pretty poor, this room had seen a lot of action and was worse for it, such as rusty microwave door, missing veneer on the furniture, smoke alarm missing with just a hole in the ceiling and some wires, plus some other bits and bobs. The room needs a revamp to freshen and address such matters.

I like the location. It's near the end of town, so it's pretty quiet.

The A/C unit kept turning off and wasn't properly cooling. We had to trun the fan on Auto to keep it on. Also, there is no toothpaste in the room. Vending machines was down also.

The price was good. They put the children on the first floor.

The breakfast was basically nonexistent. Few muffins. No eggs. No bacon. No milk for the cereal. No orange juice. They put the partiers on the third floor above us. So, while the airplanes did not bother us, the people stomping their feet both nights above us woke us up at 0130. They need to go on first floor also.

- their was no main light in the room - the lady at check in was rude -smelt bad - states that they have luggage storage however this is incorrect - the staff were loud late at night and the walls are thin making it difficult to sleep -says they provide toiletries they do not - felt unsafe as a young female solo traveler

Basic emergency stay that did the job, but far from ideal

The hotel offered a free shuttle between the airport and hotel, which, although delayed, was helpful. The room had a hot shower and a clean bed, which was all we needed for a few hours of rest. The one staff member on duty was doing their best, handling everything from reception to shuttle driving, and was polite throughout. Overall, it was definitely better than spending the night at the airport.

The wait for the shuttle was very long despite scheduling it in advance. Several things in the room and hotel weren’t functioning properly, and the general maintenance felt poor. The Hawaii "Aloha" theme felt completely out of place for a hotel near Detroit airport, and the fact that there was only one person covering all roles meant delays and limited service quality. I had to wake up an hour earlier because lack of return shuttle availability.

One of my worse stays

A/C worked. That was about it.

“24/7 Shuttle” was a lie. Nothing else worked. TV Broken, wall stripping off, lamp broken, chair needed replacing, everything looked ghetto, blow dryer falling apart, bathroom outlet broken, staff needed help. They don’t have the shuttle working from checkout time 11am to 3pm. So I ended up walking to airport. On arrival, I called front desk for the shuttle, I waited 50 minutes even though the hotel was only 9 mins drive away. Shuttle driver is also front desk person. Felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave since arrival.

I am thankful for everyone at Americans Inn & suites. A great experience during a difficult time.

I am a 71-year-old woman traveling alone. The hotel is five minutes from the airport with a shuttle leaving every hour. The breakfast was sufficient, especially for the price. There is a Wendy's restaurant right next door. My flight was cancelled TWICE, causing me to need to extend my stay. All the staff went out of their way to help me. I was a hotel maid in college and I was impressed with the cleanliness. This is also one of the least expensive hotels in the area. I recommend it very much,

Nightmare on Bell St.

Honestly this time it was bad from the time we arrived! I had preselected a 8-9 pm check in time on the Booking.com site. Regardless of that fact I had to call the hotel's front desk to get anyone to come wait on me... The employee told me they were on their way (15 minutes later, after another waiting, guest had to call again they finally showed up about 10 minutes later. I stepped up to the counter, as I was next in line, (btw there was no apology at all) I handed them my phone to show them my reservation and confirmation number...she dismissed me and said "I don't need that. I need your credit card and ID" I got the sense that she was having a hard day so I tried to lighten the moment by joking with the other customer! They gave me my 2 room keys... Then, told me floor 2. I had to look at the envelope to see what room we were even in! OH, wait... IT GETS WORSE! We went to our room, only to find the bed were not even made up and the room was filthy with trash, food and skillets everywhere! (YES SKILLETS) The phone was all torn up with no dial tone! I went back to the lobby to make them aware of all this...I asked her to upgrade for all the hassles thus far, but, I was ignored! I tried to explain that I had stayed here several times and never had any problems like this... Their answer was "that's odd I don't recognize you" THIS WAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE HAD IN A VERY LONG TIME!! To top all that, the beds were too firm and extremely uncomfortable the AC wouldn't stay on no matter how many times I tried to set it! We tried to watch TV. There were only 2 channels available and a blurry picture. We only got about 2 hours of sleep! We had an early flight (That was the whole reason we chose to drive the night before and stay close to the airport) Overall my experience was terrible! Staying here was definitely a mistake, even for just one night. We waited for someone to attend to the front desk, and when a woman finally arrived from running the shuttle, she didn't appear professional—her jacket was torn, and she seemed irritated by our check-in. Upon reaching our room, we found it in poor condition. We wanted to request a room change, but no one was at the front desk, and no one answered the phone.

No tissues in room, toilet was too low coffe only had one real coffee packet and the breakfast was a joke… no juice, fruit , yogurt water or lids for coffee… it was just plain lousy!!! You definitely need to revamp your system

Comfortable beds

When we got to our rooms I discovered my room only had sheets on the bed, no blankets.. when I called downstairs, no sorry or anything just that they would bring me some. Well I apparently had set down my room key when I called them so I ended up locking myself out of the room. I went downstairs for another key and offered to take the blankets back with me because I was exhausted and didn't want them to show up while I was trying to change or something. She said no they have to bring them up but it wouldn't be long.. still no apology but then a different woman.. little bit older with poofy hair brings them to my door..I tell her thank you and she looks at me and flat out ignores me and walks away 😒 so I yelled I appreciate it and she said "yep".. advice to the owners.. teach your employees to act like they appreciate their job and to be nicer to guests. The woman we had on Mother's Day before our flight was wonderful 😊 really wish she had been working instead of the two we encountered. The man who was there this morning was very nice though.. appreciated him being there especially since the other person was the one running the desk yesterday..who by the way didn't even ask for my card 🤨 just asked if I wanted to use the one on file smh. The woman last week definitely made sure I was using my own stuff.
