Cassandra Hotel

The hotel is very clean and comfortable for family. The lady was so attentive, always checking if we need something. Service with heart, we feel at home.

The location had nothing to offer. I had to walk many blocks just to get a snack which did not include anything fresh.

The front house staff were exceptionally pleasant. Very nice fridge,microwave and air conditioning.

We stayed at Cassandra Hotel for a few nights, and honestly, it was better than we expected. The hotel is basic, yes, and they are doing some renovation, but it didn’t really bother us. The room is clean, quiet, and everything is organized. For us, it’s enough. What surprised us the most is the customer service. Everyone at front desk is super nice and helpful. Handra, I think she’s the supervisor, she is amazing. Very friendly, always smiling, and really tried to help us with anything we need. We really appreciate that. Some people say the price is high, but come on, it’s Vancouver. Everything is expensive here. Compare with other places, we think the price is okay, especially with the service they give. The location is also convenient, close to bus stop, food, and easy to go downtown. For tourists like us, it’s a good spot. We had a good stay and would come back again.

We are grateful to Anu for checking us in early, a service we were happy to pay for. In her efforts to complete the process, Anu inadvertently omitted a tax charge of approximately $8. Later, my wife received a call from a discourteous Filipino woman named Handra, who rudely demanded that I present myself at reception to settle the outstanding amount. I was in a deep sleep at the time, and my wife could not understand the urgency, particularly as the hotel was already holding a $250 deposit for incidental charges. Shockingly, this vile Handra had the audacity to slam the phone down on my wife mid-conversation. When I awoke, I went down to reception. Although immensely irritated, I chose not to make a scene. I listened as this dim-witted individual attempted to justify her unjustified behaviour towards my wife. I could see Anu also struggling to follow Handra’s feeble explanation. I remained composed, deciding not to lower myself to Handra’s level. Handra continued to belittle Anu, claiming she was being trained and had made an error. It was pretty obvious she was trying to deflect blame. Individuals with such unbecoming ethics should not be entrusted with front-desk responsibilities. She is a disgrace to the many hardworking, respectful Filipinos I have had the privilege to work and engage with over the past 25 years. Behaviour like hers tarnishes the hotel’s reputation.

The hotel is a little old, but room was very clean and the staff is wonderful. Nice big bathtub location is just down street (2 block) from bus stop into town about 45 min if traffic Wonderful bed slept well, very quiet

I love everything; the confortable and clean room. The location is also perfect, a lot of great restaurants walking distance. The staff was soo nice; we had a problem with our bathroom and it was fixed right away.

There was no enough plugs for our phones. We had to unplug the lamps in order to charge our phones and smartwatch.

The staff was very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. Very sweet young ladies

The grounds were not well maintained. Neighborhood not what I had expected. It was in China town. No American food. The building was being remodeled so construction in hallways and the elevators. I did not like having to use my facebook account to receive my room key codes. Also there were no written instructions on how to use the TV. The staff came up to the room twice but really didn’t understand how to make the TV work. No TV that night 😞

Room was super clean and staff was amazing and super welcoming

The front desk staff who checked us in was very kind and helpful. She always care about us, ask if we feel good or need help. Make us feel very warm. Room also very clean and quiet, we sleep very well. This hotel really nice, we like it very much. Will come back next time!

Handra took such good care of us. She was really patient helping us with the Wi-Fi, the door lock, and showing us around. She even let me know when I forgot something. We're older, so we really appreciated her kindness. I love this hotel they’re doing a great job.

What they lack in amenities and modernity, they make up for in amazing staff and cleanliness. Great place and good value

Clean good staff reception

Loud banging all night, toilet flushing could be heard rattling the walls. Horrible experience and 322$ to not rest is ridiculous.
