I really loved John's neighborhood as the overarching maple trees over the road were beautiful! John's home was clean and his instructions for guests reasonable. The room was perfect as a solo traveler who only needed few amenities; my main needs were bathing and rest.
Honestly, there was absolutely nothing that didn't meet or exceed expectations. My only concern trying to come and go without creating noise was the hardwood floors and stairs. Not sure if additional rugs would help dampen sound but that's just me trying to be overly courteous for others; nothing against the accommodations.

Bed and bathroom was clean. Good location to bus stop. Quiet neighborhood.
No AC in the room. No access to kitchen. Host didn't really provide information about nearby bus stops or points of interest. Host wasn't too welcoming either (possibly due to language barrier).
