A home away from home

We had a wonderful stay here! Our host, Sam, was very accommodating and understanding throughout our visit. The place was quiet, which made our stay extremely relaxing, even though we spent most of our time outdoors. Sam was always responsive, answered our questions promptly, and was very helpful whenever we needed assistance. The room was very clean and smelled amazing… I slept like a baby. I especially loved having a private bathroom, which was also spotless. There were thoughtful extras in the bathroom in case you forgot something, like a shaver and other essentials, which was really appreciated. The location was also a huge plus. It’s close to the Canada Line, which made it very easy for us to get to downtown and to the airport. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful house to stay in with my family. Sam was the most gracious and helpful host. The location was excellent for all of us to get around including by car, and transit. It was very comfortable, clean and quiet.

My future 'go to' in Vancouver!

Though it's on a main thoroughfare, with buses to both downtown and other shopping centers within a few steps, the house itself is quiet and comfortably appointed. The host, Sam, is responsive, respectful, and accommodating of my questions and other needs.

It was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in while traveling. The space is immaculate and very comfortable.

The stairs could be challenging for folks with mobility issues.

Clean, comfortable, modern, Would love to

The house is very modern & clean with a nice bathroom & a walk-in closet. & the host couple are super nice. The instructions to get into the house & the room are texted to you before your arrival & super easy to follow. & the kitchen is nicely stacked with a coffee machine & tea bags & has separate cooking room with door. In this separate room is the cooktop & sink & another refrigerator. I cooked a ramen noodle in the cooking room. & there is this super beautiful cat you cannot have allergy. We both have cat allergy. But this cat is allergy free cat & so beautiful.. 😍

It’s not something I didn’t like it, but like to mention this. We stayed on the second floor with windows to the roadside & there were noises as the cars passing by during night, which is normal for the big city like Vancouver, BC. & it was a rainy night, so sure the noise was amplified. 😆 & We live in a very quiet rural area on an island with 5 acre lot & very little traffic. So we are not used to have cars passing by at night. & I was thankful living on an island.

Convenient and comfortable

Great location, comfortable room, loved the private bathroom facility. Host was very accommodating, allowing for a very late check in, after 11 pm.

The listing mentioned that my room was on the main floor, which appealed to me because I had heavy luggage with me. The room was in fact on the second floor, which made it difficult. I also missed having coffee available in my room. Instead, I had to go downstairs for coffee, not a huge deal, but the listing is not accurate. This is more of an app-related issue, but I had a VERY hard time finding the instructions/ door code, etc. in my booking. It is a good thing I have a good memory for codes, because I could only find it once, even though I needed the info a few times during my stay.

Excellent, inexpensive and well resourced - everything you need

This venue is excellent, we had a hire car so we could get to everything we wanted to. The host were lovely and non intrusive- the room had everything we needed

Super great stay for a last minute change to my flight. Affordable price!

Location was great. Very close to a train station which took my around the city. Not too far from the airport via train. Owner was super friendly and even let me check in early once the room was ready. Super relaxed space and very opening.

Beautiful house in the suburbs.

The house was beautiful, comfortable, clean and in a good location for our short stay in Vancouver. Thank you Sam for allowing us to leave our luggage after our early arrival and for the early check in.

We had difficulty working out how to use the microwave and couldn’t find a sharp knife in the shared kitchen.

Amazing stay, Great location

it's a huge house, and our room was great. we had an unsuite queen room with all the amenities, spacious and clean. The hosts were lovely too. I had a problem with the hair dryer not working and in the matter of 10 mins or so another was provided. The location is perfect too, Canada line is 15 mins walk and all sorts of buses run around there. there is alot a 7eleven nearby.

Very nice family home in a good neighbourhood. The hosts and their son were really friendly. The room was well appointed and quite comfortable too. Easy check-in and check out. They also left a guests guide to Vancouver which was really thoughtful!

Great location. Beautiful house and comfortably appointed. Room was private and safe. Everything kept up well. No issue with free street parking right out front. Free coffee and tea and bottled water is a nice touch.

Nothing really but some curtains would help as the blinds don’t block light well and it was bright very early in the room.

Location. Clean

No breakfast. Landscaping all weeds Room booked did not have a window like shown in the photo. Window 6 inches wide and 4 feet above my head. No view Never met host No where to sit outside at the end of the day. TV location poor No air conditioning Child size desk in room Prepay not obvious.

Cozy, sweet, serene, tasteful a great place to stay.

I loved it - close to a lot of touristy things and a close drive to the downtown area

Some minor things I didn’t like was the bathroom was shared between the two rooms rented out in the basement - if someone was in there I had no access to go to the bathroom and if there are a few ppl staying and someone is in the shower you need to hold it until they are done. Another thing, there was no tv in the bedroom but there was one in the common area - I couldn’t get it to change to my subscription of streaming service so I just watched some stuff from my phone - it wasn’t ideal but hey I loved my room the decor the yard the shower the coffee maker I really would say 10 out of ten but I need to be a little harsh because of the shared bathroom maybe they can put in a new one just like a powder room and toilet and then the other one with the shower.

For a short stay it is good

Great location 10 mins to the airport. Instructions to chk in were clear. Personally for us we felt the heating was too much and we were sweating in the night. Unfortunately we chkd in very late so we cud not request for anu fan and did not find the air conditioning remote. Over all it was good
