The Space:
Blencathra Spa (Pet) consists of an open-plan living space with oven, gas hob, grill, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, dining seating, Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of a double and two twins, serviced by two shower rooms. On-site, you'll find the Lake House Bar and Restaurant, nine-hole adventure golf, dog agility course, an outdoor playground, Farmer Jack's mini-shop, along with live music and seasonal entertainment. Highchair available on request. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is a decking with furniture and hot tub, and designated parking for one car with on-site car park available with EV charging for an additional fee. Two well-behaved pets are welcome at a charge of 13GBP per pet per night. Sorry, no smoking. Please be aware that the stated maximum occupancy includes infants, and cannot be exceeded. The Neighborhood:
The bustling market town of Penrith, once the capital of Cumbria, enjoys a central position between the Lake District, the Westmoorland Dales and North Pennines and is ideally placed for taking in all that the region has to offer. Renowned for its wealth of specialist shops, the sandstone buildings of Penrith hide intriguing yards, lanes and alleyways, with a myriad of attractive cottages, gardens and little shops. With a wide choice of excellent pubs, hotels, restaurants and entertainment, Penrith also offers a museum, and Millennium Trails round the historic city streets. Within easy reach of the town is Rheged – an innovative visitor centre with shops, restaurants, exhibitions and a giant cinema screen showing educational and informative films. Brougham Castle, Brougham Hall (The Windsor of the North), Lowther Castle and Gardens, Long Meg and her daughters (the 3rd largest stone circle in England) and the historic city of Carlisle are all a short drive away, as is the stunning scenery of both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
