Embleton Spa Hotel & Apartments

Embleton Spa is in a stunning location. The view from the outside patio and bar/dining area was spectacular. Although it is a few miles out of Keswick, it is not far to many lovely places. The reception/bar/restaurant staff could not be more helpful. All very friendly, particularly Gemma and Nathan.. Complimentary coffee and cake offered. As for the food - it was yummy. Sadly, the restaurant was very quiet but I would highly recommend a meal in the restaurant. Very casual and dog friendly but the food surpassed my expectations. As for breakfast. Delicious. All freshly cooked and locally sourced. Several cooked breakfast options. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I had a fabulous big bathroom with nice shower and complimentary toiletries. Information folder in the room. Braithwaite Lake is stunning and less than a 10 min drive away. Dodds Woods are just beautiful. Ospreys and Red Squirrels can be spotted there. There is a car park, information, toilets and a very nice coffee shop. Perfect for dogs and children (lovely stream for paddling). Adults too, of course. I would definitely return.

I was very disappointed with the pool area. 'Spa' is not how I would describe it. The pool water itself was clean but the edges of the pool looked grimey and in need of a good scrub. Doors etc. Off the pool area needed cleaning, painting, some TLC. Dead tree outside one of the windows. Could easily be moved. I had planned to spend quite a bit of time relaxing after lots of walking but 20 mins was enough. Do not go there for the Spa. Rooms, restaurant and friendly staff. Definitely yes. It is used by the locals so probably offers income but otherwise it spoils the hotel.

Location great. Breakfast lovely. Bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Great parking. Staff were very pleasant, cheerful and most welcoming. Asked for a fan to be placed in each bedroom and this was accommodated which was appreciated.

Couch in the living room was covered in stains and needs a good deep clean. Some parts of the bathroom cupboards were rotten and the bathroom door wouldn’t close. Personal preference, I would have liked an extra lock on the front door so it could be locked from the inside.

Lovely location with beautiful, comfortable rooms and convenient parking available. The staff were absolutely wonderful—always smiling, friendly, and happy to assist with anything we needed. The hotel is also conveniently located, not far from shops, which made it easy to get around. The pool, sonar, and gym were great additions and provided lovely facilities for guests to enjoy. Beautiful view from the hotel entrance. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very accommodating. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and received excellent service throughout. Highly recommended!

pool area and pool could use a little more cleaning and regular maintenance. It would be great if they could keep the area better maintained to ensure it stays clean and pleasant for everyone.

Lock on room,unstable,difficult to lock. Decent people no problem etc,so left it unlocked,had no real valubles it was ok. No standard TV. ,in pub space.(not expecting Sky,but terrestrial TV would v been good,no extra cost😥😏) Not much around the area,but a lot like that. The pub facing,no TV. or cask beer there, at least the hotel had decent local pints.
