Location was excellent, House was lovely, though a tad dated in some areas. Facilities were excellent, only thing missing according to my wife was a washing up scourer and plastic gloves!
The view of Catbells and Derwentwater from the upstairs bedrooms was beautiful.

Directions to the car parking at the rear of the property could have been better.

It is a big house with 5 bedrooms with an en-suite in 4 of them. The view from every room is breathtaking and the house is clean. The house is well located, with the town centre and walking trails just a walk away. We didn’t use our car for the week we stayed other than to get to the mountains we were climbing. It is a self catered accommodation in all its sense, so you will have to bring everything you need including kitchen stuff.
We were not informed of the £300 deposition before our visit and so was surprised when we were asked for it when we were booking in. There is a list of fines that will be deducted from the deposit. If you don’t wash dishes and even empty the dishwasher, you will be fined £100. We were not informed of any of this when we booked. Although the kitchen has basic pots, there were no essentials like a bowl if you would like to make a salad or if you want to mix anything. There is no handwash, body wash or shampoo in any of the toilet/bathrooms.

Location between the lake and village was amazing.
House while beautiful was musty and damp, two asthma sufferers in our group were affected within a day. Linens need updating, the washing machine had mould which we tried to clean off and not all bedrooms upstairs were opened up so one party in our group had to sleep in the outhouse at the back which did not smell good at all. We also found mould under our window sill. This house is beautiful, an update internally would do wonders.
