The Best Nest Como

The location was terrific near the centre of Como. This was a lovely & charming hideaway with lots of room & an old-world-style decor with wood beams. Loved the Da Vinci Code-type entry! First, finding the keys in a lockbox on a neighbouring window, through a tiny door in a large wooden gate into a courtyard & around a few corners & up some stairs. Bedrooms were on an upper level, up some ladder-type stairs (not for the faint-hearted!). The kitchen was well equipped & despite being near the centre, it was quiet.

Not much, really, other than I wish we could have stayed longer!

Ce logement est donné avec une place de parking hors aucune parking et je l'ai appris le matin même. A l'arrivée compliqué pour se garer pas de place à proximité j'ai du faire presque 2km pour tr9uver une place où laisser ma voiture. Bien compliqué quand vous voyagé avec une personne de 88 ans.

Location was great, clear instructions to get the keys and easy to find the flat. Amenities as it was described, could make breakfast (if wanted) and enough glasses and crockery, working fridge and even ice in the freezer.

There is a connecting door from the kitchen to other flat and doors are covered behind he curtain and buckets to clean the flat with. Doors were locked but felt a little bit uncomfortable as you could hear neighbours and it was not mentioned in the description. There is one AC unit needs cleaning ( covered in dust) and only blows cold air to main lounge area where sofa is and upstairs rooms doesn't get any cooling - if its above 30 degrees outside these rooms would be very hot. Bathroom needs maintenance and deep cleaning. Flat is very noisy - every step upstairs could be heard everywhere as wooden ceiling had no insulation and quite open plan. There were no working light to go upstairs - needed to use torch on the phone all the time, which felt very dangerous and easy to slip and fall.
