Ok for an overnight in the town centre

Disappointing

Excellent location. Comfortable mattress. Two very kind young men at reception.

I must admit that when I arrived I re-read the reviews, I thought I must have been in the wrong place. The sink and toilet weren’t clean (I declined housekeeping after that as I didn’t want any of that type of service). There was nowhere to put anything, no shelving or hanging space at all. The bathroom smelt very strongly of chemicals due to naphthalene-smelling products which I removed. There was no hairdryer, the electric kettle leaked steam. Halfway through my stay there was heavy rain followed by a flood in the sink area which the boys mopped up but it all just added to the feeling of uncleanliness. I can’t imagine where the water came from as this was a ground floor room.The bathroom door was badly damaged and looked awful and the door jamb plaster was constantly on the floor. The little bin in the bathroom was filthy - a really easy fix. Now I realise this is a family compound, but these rooms are offered as paid accomodation and the one I stayed in was simply not up to standard. I travel extensively and have written many reviews for Booking.com. I haven’t written a negative one until now. I go camping frequently at home so I’m certainly not ‘fussy’. If I hadn’t paid a fortnight up front I would have left the next day. I don’t understand how this property was so highly scored by previous guests, perhaps the other rooms are far superior to the one I stayed in? I have stayed at five other properties in Bali on previous trips so I do have something to compare it with.

Avoid this

Warning for fellow travelers. ⚠️Please avoid this place. The place has a lot of dirt and mold. The reviews are mostly from friends of the owner. Also in Booking.com the reviews are fake. For example 3 guys named Neymar from 3 different countries have reviewed the place in the same day. Quite a coincidence. Just double check reviews and my pics from room. We booked quickly, arrived late and left after sleepless night. The aircon leaks straight to your pillow. We took another place & asked for a compensation. Then got ghosted by the host. Lowest point of one month here in Indonesia. 😕 Pay attention to 5 star reviews - for example the 5 star review from today is from a person who has only reviewed the same owners properties in Ubud with exactly same words.

This is an amazing experience with me, since i stay in the heart of ubud center.. im also stay with many cool people here.. share with balinese family, they share about the balinese culture and show me everything about the tradition here.. the vibe really amazing and the team are wonderfull, would be back again!

AMAZING STAY!

Once i came in this accomodation, Arya greets me really warm.. and he show me everything as a family, and helps me alot.. the room alsp with netflix makes me more cozy to stay, during the day i can go out everywhere without any stress because everything is walking here! Highly recomended..!!

Senang sekali tinggal disini, kamarnya bersih, staffnya seperti keluarga sendiri, yang paling penting lokasinya sangat strategis dekat dengan Puri Ubud dan Pasar Ubud jadi cukup jalan kaki saja bisa kemana-mana.. hehe

Super locatie! Ik wilde wat shoppen nog voor ik weer naar huis ging en hier zit je echt midden in het centrum.

Het enige minpuntje was misschien de geur in de badkamer, het rook niet echt lekker fris. Maar ja voor die prijs denk ik dan, als dat alles is...😊

Incroyable !!!

Je suis arrivée ici pour me reposer, pour visiter Ubud sans avoir la folie du scooter! Tout de fait à pieds, c’est moins des grandes rue donc pas de bruits la nuit. Homestay familial, offrandes le matin, ambiance paisible… Ils sont là pour n’importe quelles questions, apportent leur aide si cela est nécessaire! Les chambres sont confortables +++++++++, c’est beau, j’étais très fatigué et j’ai pu profiter toute une après midi du lit et de Netflix avec du café à volonté ! Le rêve des fois! Il y a une piscine propre aussi, je me suis baignée dans le petit bassin! Je rajoute à ça que mon trip continus pendant trois semaines encore et ils ont accepté sans aucune problème que je leur laisse un sac pour me délester de quelque kilos … Je recommande mille fois
