The location of Casa Rosa is perfect - just inside the old city wall and 5 minutes walking from Ploce Gate (one of the main entries of the old city). From the hotel, Dubrovnik's marina, main square and the famous Stradun (pedestrian street) are all within 5 minutes walk. I should note that the hotel is NOT located on a steep slope (like most of the city) so it's easily accessible for those who have lot's of luggage. Although the hotel does not have an in-house restaurant, breakfast is served in a cafe by Stradun, with excellent menu selection and a great spot to people watch. The room is just the right size for me, with a firm bed and strong hot shower. The staff of the hotel is excellent and very helpful. Although reception is only open from 9-4, Ana (the manager) and her staff (Edo) are always reachable by WhatsApp. Casa Rosa is a real gem, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubrovnik for just a long weekend (me) or for longer stay. And as a bonus, Gianni (one of Dubrovnik's best gelato shop) is just downstairs :-)

The only potential minus I can think of is the walls between the rooms may be a bit thin, so I could hear the guests in the room next door sometimes. Fortunately my neighbors were not the party type, so I had no problem sleeping. But I could imagine that during high season with more noisy neighbors that could bother some guests.
