The hotel was in a great location in the middle of the old town. Josip was super friendly, helped with our luggage getting in and out of the old city and provided recommendations.
We were on the fourth floor so we had to walk up to our room. There are a lot of restaurants and bars in the area creating a bit of noise during the night.

Very good location in terms of access to the town and very good and helpful service and welcoming. Very clean room and as described in the booking system. They gave us a lot of useful tips and helped to enjoy our stay.
The location is surrounded by many pubs that stayed open till late, so that may be a problem in the summer. The most negative issue was the odors of the surrounding restaurants' kitchens, that was prevalent in the main staircase and was really bad. Thankfully it did not enter the rooms.

We stayed in 'Ormanica' and our room was really pretty and in a refurbished, old-style building. The location is stellar, on a side street running parallel to Stradun and close to a hundred delicious restaurants. Pretty good value for Dubrovnik old town! The space was maybe a little tight but it's well-designed. Good wifi, nice shower.
One downside of the location is that you'll be right across from an Irish pub that's open til 2am in a party town. Fortunately, the hotel provides earplugs, which does the trick! Reception is hit-or-miss: we might have just been unlucky, but it seemed like no one was around 90% of the time. No shampoo in the bathroom.

This property is an old house with 5 individual rooms all tastefully restored, with no on-site facilities hence a little misleading to be called a Guesthouse. Our host Josko was brilliant: excellent communication, super helpful, attentive with positive attitude. He is possibly the biggest asset of this 'Guesthouse'.
The rooms are very noisy all day and all night, even with the windows and shutters firmly shut and earplugs intact we couldn't really get a proper nights' sleep. The bathrooms are large, beautifully decorated and have free-standing bath-tubs, but no splash screen or shower curtain, so the floor gets flooded... Our host provided extra towels so we can mop the floors. Sadly even filling the bath proved disappointing, as the hot water runs out about half-way up.
