About this campground/ rv resort rental
You’ll love this cosy cabin. An oasis in suburbia, tucked beside a stream with peaceful bush views - it feels a world away, yet it’s just 6 minutes to town. This standalone cabin is all yours, with a comfy bed, Smart TV, sunny deck, and your own separate kitchen and bathroom just a few steps along the path.
This peaceful little cabin is perfect for a solo retreat or a quiet stay for two.
Tucked among native trees, it’s private, relaxing, and full of character.
The cabin itself is a single-room space with a comfortable double bed, Smart TV, sofa, and ceiling fan.
Outside, you’ll find a covered deck with chairs and a BBQ - a lovely spot to unwind.
Please note: the kitchen and bathroom are separate from the cabin, just a few steps along a terraced path, it’s a unique setup that many guests find adds to the charm.

The cabin is set up near our apartment (which is also available as a holiday rental), but it’s tucked into its own private corner of the property and completely private, with its own gateway entrance.
Set beside the stream and nestled amongst the bush, the cabin is a peaceful spot to unwind — perfect for enjoying a picnic, reading a book, or relaxing with a cool drink under the walnut trees.

2 hours north of Auckland
5-minute walk to the Quarry Café and Gardens
6-minute drive to Whangārei City Centre
8-minute drive to the Hundertwasser Art Centre and local cafés
35-minute drive to Ruakākā, Tutukākā, and Matapōuri beaches
Walkable to Kensington Stadium and hockey turfs
All Whangārei golf courses nearby
We have set up the guest accommodation for self check-in and to be self sufficient and independent. It is your own space.

The neighbourhood is quiet, it`s rural feeling but extremely central in Whangarei City. If you like an early morning (or evening stroll), the Quarry Gardens are just a 5min walk away, and are truly worth a visit. Head there in the morning for your coffee fix, or breakfast/brunch at the Quail Cafe situated in the gardens themselves.
Your best option for transport here is to have your own car or hire one. There`s some nice cafe`s and Kensington Sports Park within easy walking distance. But if you`d like to explore the area further a vehicle would be ideal.

- Please check the photos to ensure you know that the bathroom contains a shower and toilet only. The kitchen sink also doubles as the hand basin for the bathroom.
- Laundry facilities are shared with guests staying in the nearby apartment. If needed, we’ll coordinate access with you.
- The Cabin is situated beside a stream and bush area. While we take preventative measures, you may occasionally see cobwebs, spiders, or insects - they’re all harmless here in Aotearoa. :-)
