Location. It was well situated minutes away from the ropeway sation, cable cars and bus stops. Each room was assigned with a staff that took care of our daily breakfast and dinner. They were professional and friendly. Authentic Japanese meals are served daily here. The onsen with natural hot spring water at the hotel is clean and hot.

The staff were so lovely, they couldn't do enough for you and made us feel so welcome and that nothing was too much to ask. Also the view from our room was incredible! We also used the private onsen which was lovely, we would recommend this. They were also happy to hold our bags for us as we arrived before our check in time and these were in our room when we got back, and the free shuttle to Gora station was perfect! The location is brilliant for Sounzan Ropeway station and it was easy to complete the Hakone loop from this hotel! We also really enjoyed the traditional meals for dinner and breakfast, although these might not be to everyone's tastes 😊
The facilities were a bit dated and there were patches of dirt and mould around, the property could probably just do with some updating/modernising!

Close to the station of the cable car and the ropeway. The rooms are big. The food at dinner and breakfast are very good with a big variety, the staff tells you everything about this food and customs of it. The tea which you can have all day long is good. All the 5 different Onsen pools and bathes are good. The ones outside in the fresh air are the best. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. You are provided with Japanese clothing for the premise of the hotel.

The staff are 10/10 great people. Food was excellent.
The place is really run down, in real need of a renovation. The bathroom had a lot of mould. When we asked they did clean it.
