和光荘 Harmonious Light West

Very unique, fun, clean, high quality and spacious property. Location is excellent in Gora, walking distance from train station and even with 3 suitcases and kids, not bad in getting there. Owners very responsive too. Price was very competitive esp given going rates for the nearby onsens, I feel we got the luxury without the cost. No private baths but a few options for public baths provided at a discount which was nice. Beds super comfortable so much so my kids asked if we can buy the same bedding. Laundry on site with laundry soap also provided was helpful. I would stay again

I think the owners can do so much better by stocking some basic items in the place - some drinks (coke, water), small snacks or maybe offer a free option to select a couple items to stock (eg eggs) esp in this small town where there is literally one small convenience store, a handful of restaurants and everything closes super early. Projector hard to use as it’s connected to the main kitchen light- too bright and I could not figure out if light could be dimmed- maybe but we could not

No place to relax together as a group other than the table
