Dinner was excellent, so many dishes. We also had the private onsen for the use of our two rooms for one hour, with very nice views outside.

It was a little dated and needed a bit of a facelift .

We had a bit of trouble finding it since we came from the cable car.

I messaged the team through the booking.com site in advance to ask if they would be willing to accommodate a long/somewhat complex list of dietary restrictions (essentially, no shellfish or certain other fish like eel, octopus, etc. and no pork). Since we’d be eating 2 meals a day wherever we stayed, it was very important to me that this be accommodated as best as possible. The team acknowledged they might not be perfect (it was a long list!) but would do their best. They absolutely exceeded my expectations in this regard - at each meal, the staff checked with me to make sure that each fish was ok. No courses needed to be skipped, just substituted. We were three people and two of us had different restrictions while one ate everything. The person with no restrictions was served the normal meal as we’d hoped. The staff deserves big kudos for making this happen given the language barrier and nature of the meals served. Thank you!! We truly enjoyed all other aspects of the stay as well.

Wall to wall carpeting, art, etc. is dated so it cheapens the look of the (otherwise very lovely) facility a bit
