About this house rental

'The Barn', which shares the entrance drive with the cottage, is accessed via a single track 'farm lane' and is a recent conversion of just over 47 sq.m. in floor area.

It has one double bedroom and can sleep a further two on the double sofa bed in the living room.

It is well equipped including underfloor heating, a wood-burning stove, fully tiled wet room, stripped pine flooring, exposed beams, free WiFi, flat screen TVs and a fully equipped kitchen with granite worktops. There is a small utility area with washer/dryer etc.

Internal doors are oak ledge and braced and there is a stable door to the main entrance. French doors lead from the living room to a raised patio and a rough paved closed yard with table, seating and barbecue. There is plenty of parking to the front of the property.

We are happy to take bookings of less than three nights but a minimum charge of £300.00 will apply. This means the calendar should show all days as 'available arrival' unless shown as 'unavailable'.

What a fabulous stay at this property. Beautiful location and cozy clean accommodation which is well kitted out with everything you need. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. Was so nice to arrive to freshly baked bread and a lemon drizzle cake. We will definitely return, very convenient for us when our daughter is visiting her best friend in Bath. Lots of fabulous walks to do with the dog and fabulous scenery.

Everything was perfect well set up kitchen and very well appointed. Everything you needed for your pets was supplied. The host is the most hospitable host you could wish for. On arrival there is a fresh baked cake and loaf of bread and bacon eggs milk and butter in the fridge. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. This was a perfect stay

The Barn was fabulous. It was immaculately clean and had every item you needed for a few days away from home. It is situated in a delightful location and offers numerous beautiful walks to explore. We couldn't have been more delighted, and we are hoping to visit again very soon.

What a great place to stay! They lovingly call it a "barn," but it's really a beautifully finished apartment with all the amenities. It's a few minute's drive outside of the city in the picturesque countryside. I didn't want to leave!

Superb property and perfect location for Bath. Clean, peaceful and the hosts were perfect. Made us bread and cake for our arrival. We got a bus from the village into the city making it super easy but you will need a car to access the half mile single track road to get to the property.

Everything about this gorgeous cottage is wonderful. It has been beautifully renovated to provide every possible comfort. The hosts, Vivienne and Richard are so friendly and welcoming without ever being intrusive. I must add ourselves to the growing chorus of fellow reviewers who rave about Vivienne’s lemon cake and home made bread which add to the warmth of the welcome! The cottage is brilliantly designed - modern but extremely comfortable. It’s cosy yet feels really spacious and the outside seating area provides stunning views of the surrounding hills that envelope you like a warm blanket. We loved the peace and quiet that the cottage provides whilst sitting within quick and easy reach of Bath - one of the most stunning cities in the UK. Can’t wait to return.

This is one of the few places I have stayed where I found everything I needed.. cooking equipment,bin bags, tea, milk, bread and cake, eggs provided.Stunning views.Easy to park in village and get bus to city centre.Chip shop in village was good. We had the most pleasurable time staying at the Cottage, the host was so welcoming, Vivienne the cake was amazing! The surrounding are beautiful and rural, but only a short distance from Bath. The Cottage was excellent it had everything one would need for a stay away from home.

This is an excellent property set in a stunning landscape with wonderful walks right on the doorstep. The barn is very well appointed and the photos don't really do it justice. Great furnishings, lovely kitchen and wet room and a patio with seats and a BBQ that looks out over the local rolling hills. Really good break and we would definitely stay here again.

This property is the best we have ever stayed at It was in a lovely quite location not far from Bath and on arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and helpful The property was spacious, well equipped and everything was clean and tidy Everything about this property was perfect and we would definitely stay there again

Over 140+ 5 Star reviews spoke true with our visit. The narrow road to and from the rental was reason for a giggle. Vivienne and Richard were incredibly sweet and fantastic hosts... Who can not be happy when they love to do chores to Bruce Springsteen? The rental was comfortable, very cozy, private and perfect. Everyone had mentioned the delicious lemon drizzle cake and loaf of bread... Absolutely delicious. I want the recipe Vivienne lol. We couldn't take the rest with us due to us flying back to the USA... Silly airport customs. If we come back to Bath, we will certainly look to Vivienne and Richard to come back again. No complaints, only high regards and desire to return.

The Barn is beautifully fitted out with everything you need. The location is stunning with walks across the hills and fields. Perfect if you just want to leave the car and get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Absolutely loved it. The Barn is such a comfortable and cosy place and the views from it are stunning. Exactly the place to go to get away from the rat race and enjoy some peace and quiet. Hosts were absolutely lovely, couldn't do enough for us and didn't batter an eyelid when one of the dogs just invited themself into their house 🙈 just laughed. Perfect for staying for badminton horse trials, 20mins away from the park. It has all the amenities you could ask for and super roomy for a 1 bed cottage. Plenty of parking and a little outside area - note the outside area is not enclosed so the dogs can roam free. The only thing I would say is if you're not a confident driver and worried about reversing up narrow lanes, this isn't for you. It's on a narrow single track lane with only a couple of passing points. I drive tractors down lanes like this so wasn't phased but I can see it putting some ppl off. This is the only reason it doesn't get 5 full stars!

Excellent lodge, clean and tidy. Milk,eggs and bacon in the fridge. Fresh baked bread and a birthday cake for my dad left on the side. Location very quiet, pheasants and a goose visit daily. Very nice owners who asked when they saw us if we needed anything. Will be visiting again.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is private, cosy and very comfortable. The view and surrounding countryside is stunning and so peaceful. It feels remote and far from everything, just the ticket for a quiet weekend away and yet it's a short drive to the nearest village and very close to Bath. We loved it and will look to return very soon.
