Perfectly fine for a short stay

Location was good. Instant hot water. Any requests were soon dealt with. Comfortable.

Kitchen could have done with more equipment i.e. cooking knives, colander. It was missing cutlery (rectified when asked). Needed more glasses and plates if more people had been staying there.

Comfortable stay in south west

Lovely property with great features. Lovely and cosy space. Host was communicative and helpful. All required amenities were available. Overall comfortable stay and definitely would come back

Noise level from the road wasn’t great although difficult for host to control and some unclean kitchen items found. Otherwise the general space was clean.

It was easy and convenient to stay there for our trip, but too expensive for the quality

The lodge was very spacious, with good internet and easy parking. The furnishing of the lodge was nice with a fun retro style. The host was nice and helpful.

Whilst most of the place was clean (floor, bathroom, bedsheets), the kitchen and kitchenware was dirty, with almost no ustensils. There was a water leak in the bathroom. The place is a lodge rather than a cottage and right on the road so it can be a bit noisy.

Disappointing place

The appartment is good located for visits of Glastonbury, Bristol, Bath,.. There is a 24/7 Tout's within 5 min by car. The TV is up-to-date. The sofa corner is very cozy. The sleeping area is upstairs with a view over the sofa corner and the dining table. The host reacted quickly via WhatsApp.

The appartment is placed directly at a poorly constructed, high traffic road also used by heavy trucks (extremly noisy during rush hours). Despite that, you can hear your neighbours TV and alarm clock at 6am. The kitchen and the bathroom do not have windows. There are ventilations installed starting automatically via motion detectors. These are very noisy and enerving if you just want to get something out of the fridge. Also most of the lights are controlled by motion detectors which causes darkness when having a shower longer than 2 min. None of the three doors can be opened without noise, all of them need a lubrication. The kitchen had a greasy smell and the surfaces felt the same. The host never showed up personally.

Well situated cottage type property.

Cosy and comfortable. Well situated. Good parking. Clean.

Had no freezer door and no hot water due to thermostat not working. All sorted very quickly. Maybe a litttle tired, ready for a spruce up. Probably wrongly advertised as an Executive apartment as expectations are higher. Very close to a busy road.

Surprisingly nice apartment. Plenty of room, comfortable and nicely furnished. Nice modern bathroom and an automatic washing machin. Good WiFi and Easy parking on site

Not up to our expectations, but you might like it

There is character in these accommodations. Also the host is kind and helpful. He provided us with a lot of local information and he always had a smile. There are lots of interesting pubs and dining places around and if you drive (you need to) you can easily reach them.

The accommodation can benefit from a proper deep cleaning. Particularly in the bathroom. The shower curtain was mouldy and the light string was almost black. The Wifi was very poor. I understand this might not be a priority for the type of people who book vintage style accommodations, but we wish we knew this. This accommodation is listed on Booking-com twice and should we have seen the other listing, we could have noticed the issue with the Wifi. The accommodation is located off a busy road. It didn't bother us too much as we spent more nights we got used to it, but the first night (it was also a busy day right at the end of a bank holiday weekend) we had some trouble sleeping. We were asked to deposit £250 for security upon arrival. This has not been communicated to us prior to booking, or I might have missed it. And considering our booking was un-refundable we had no option but to comply. The deposit might be understandable, the accommodation is fully furnished and it's reasonable to collect a deposit. However, I was asked to share all my debit card information (including the security code and my address) with the host during a phone call. I found it very unsettling; so mush so that I had to freeze the card afterwards and ask my bank to send me a new one. The deposit was returned to us immediately after check-out (minus £0.01!). I also understand this arrangement might be due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In conclusion, I feel these accommodations have great potentials however with a bit more investment and few changes in management style. It's a shame that I need to give low score mostly because of things that can easily be fixed/improved.
