Nothing it was terrible. We had so many problems and the owner wouldnt respond once we got there!!

First we were told there would be a key. There was no key. Our bin wasnt even emptied after the last people. There was a used toothbrush left and an empty shower gel

I booked a room at this property but was only informed that it was unavailable when I arrived, with no prior notice. I was moved to another house 3 km away, and although the host was polite, the accommodation was unfortunately not fit for purpose. The room was freezing, the bed was damp, and there was visible mold in the room and also throughout the hallways. The house appears to be under renovation, with damaged walls, stained carpets, and no curtain on the window. There was also no lock on the bedroom door, which made me feel unsafe. The overall standard did not match what I originally booked, and I only stayed because I had no alternative at short notice. I appreciate that issues can happen, but the replacement accommodation should be clean, safe, and comfortable. In its current state, I cannot recommend it.

I did not like anything about the place at all the bed room door did not lock from the out side only from the inside , the shower head was just taped up with white insolaition tape against the shower door rail , and both shower doors missing.

Alot of noise and from about 9 the evening into the early hours of the morning till about 3 the people were fighting and banging door .

Freezing cold, repeatedly asked if the heating could be turned on, always an excuse and it would be , but it never was. Electric gates locked I meant we couldn’t get to work on time. Will not be returning, really cold especially when -3!

Cold, off-site host said he would turn heating on, never did. November -3, need heating.

Location just off the motorway so very convenient but that’s where it ends

The host was friendly and helpful. The place was very clean, in fact it was obviously just cleaned when I arrived which was great to see. The room and bed were comfy, breakfast excellent and an overall good experience.

Not much to like, the room was quite big.

Finding it, the satnav takes you to close by but not to the location. The property is situated behind a big black electric gate. The name on a stone, says New hall cottage. You need the code before hand, to get through the gate.

Only downfall was the breakfast could not fine milk or cups and bowls but maybe I didn't look enough could be single mistake

Absolutely nothing good.

Took 15 calls to contact the host. The key to one room wasn't even there. Soiled, discarded clothing left in the room. There are no towels in some rooms 7 double rooms. 1 bathroom. Nobody to clean when guests have wet floors Wall paper peeling off the wall. No electrical sockets working in one room. No Internet. No TV. Premises is freezing. One room door damaged. Very expensive and absolutely no service We didn't stay.

The fact that I didnt actually stay at the property and took an hour to get in touch with the owner after beinv stuck outside who told me he didn't see my name on his list until he found ut and told me there was no room for me and said id be refunded and never did and now has the cheek to request a review after I wasted hours looking around for somewhere to stay and eventually ended up with me and my mate having to sleep in my car in circle k carpark overnight before a big event.

It's really more like a hostel accomodations with shared bathroom - one bathroom for about 6 rooms in the lodge. The bathroom was also flooded when we were there. When we arrived we couldn't get hold of anyone to check us in - took us about an hour to reach someone on the phone to get our room number and the gate code. The rooms are large, but super outdated and not too clean. Cheap is the only excuse, but you can really find much better accomodations for the price.

Location was fine not much else

No one to meet us as we arrived the bedroom was basic the smell of musty chair we had two bedside table with lamps on either side of our bed but no socket to plug in the lights no bathroom in our room we had to use bathroom in the hallway

The property was disgusting so nothing

It felt like we were staying in a place for down and outs We paid for 2 rooms with private bathrooms but they had been booked out to others and no refund issued The rooms smelled there was a horrible bathroom which we had to share. We had no towels and had to wait for the off site manager to bring some!

Don’t stay here!

It’s in a strange neighbourhood, and is an unprofessional setup. We had concerns about our security before even getting to the room. Once shown the room, by a guy who said he was living next door (no front desk etc), we saw the bathroom with peeling paint, a broken and missing shower door and an extractor fan hanging from a cord in the ceiling.

Nice old building but very limited facilities No towels provided or toilet roll I opted for the more expensive suite but seems we were given the cheaper one

Shared bathroom, no heating and the bed sheets where dirty. Bed was very uncomfortable.

I sent a message to the property earlier with our estimated arrival time of 13:00, but it was never opened or acknowledged. I have travelled to many countries, but I have never experienced such poor hygiene. The room, the living area, and the corridors—every part of the property was extremely dirty. We couldn’t even use the bathroom or sit on the sofa, as everything looked unclean and neglected. My husband and I left the room for three hours, hoping it might be cleaned in the meantime, but when we returned, nothing had changed. The overall lack of cleanliness was simply unacceptable. No self-respecting person would feel comfortable spending the night in such conditions. I was so stressed after returning home the same day that I took three showers within an hour, genuinely worried I might have brought something back with me. This was a deeply disappointing and stressful experience. I will never forget this experience.

This place has was not what was advertised at all absolutely ridiculous I met an English family there too and there situation was soo bad they had to book another place also absolutely no help from staff there wasn’t even any staff around nothing

This place is not fit for human habitation. There is black mold in the bathroom and one of the doors has been kicked in. There's exposed pipework, and the taps don't work.

I liked location was close to where we needed to be

The dampness in the beds and the damp smell threw out the lodge and the spiders in the corners of the room

It was a bit like sleeping in the house of someone who was absent but had not cleaned up before leaving. The bathroom was not just shared, but far away. There was no toilet paper (so I had to shower myself), there were dirty towels on the floor under the sink... I was surprised to have a room without windows, and not to have wifi. I may have failed to note these absences in the room description, in which case it's my own fault. The access code to the building and the room number were apparently texted to my phone number, rather than through the booking.com app. The result was that I did not receive them, and was only able to get in because someone else happened to arrive.

Upon arrival at the premises 7 June 2025 I was immediately alerted to the fact that it was very much out of keeping with it's surroundings - an industrial estate. It was an old long bungalow within two large hardcore levelled yard areas front and back with two sets of entrance walls and gates that were worth more than the house and substantial enough to make you wonder what in God's name are they trying to keep out - or in! This made me immediately suspicious/wary. There was no obvious entrance or signage so I picked a set of double doors front centre and walked in with some trepidation. I was met with a long corridor in faux wood paneling with steps down in. There was a small table with a microwave both covered in dirt and crumbs and with a cylindrical bag of porridge laying horizontally beside it. That was all nothing else. I was met by another guest who asked me was I booked in and I said I was. He said “this is bad, boy” and explained that there is no-one around and he had to make several phone calls to find out which room he was in. Also that there is no running water or access to drinking water. His words were this place is "grim". He said two other guests were booked in and they weren't happy either. I had a look around and the whole place gave me the creeps. It was at best like the evil villain’s house in Scooby Doo, at worst Hannibal Lecter's holiday home. I said I would go out to my car and try and make contact, but I couldn't get out quick enough. After a nano second of thought, I got into my car and drove away to try and find alternative accommodation. This was at 8.45pm and I wasn't hopeful but had decided I'd rather sleep in my car than in that dive, and I did. I received a mobile text message informing of a room number which was useless because I was asleep in my car. Booking.com have been informed of this complaint and have tried to contact the property, as have I, with no response to either.

Very littie

On arrival room not ready.When ready,tatty ,not clean. Bathroom primitive.Window propped open with a toilet roll. There is a swimming pool, it's the bathroom floor. Gloomy and depressing. Not recommended.

It was a total disappointment. We didn't get the room advertised. The room was less than basic. It was a construction site with big holes in the walls. Basic small double bed. No bedside lights connected. No hangers or spaces for clothes. Bathroom flooded. No toilet rolls soap or hand towels. No facilities for having breakfast, a coffees jar just empty and a few tea bags and no milk or sugar. Very unfriendly atmosphere and nobody available to help. It was only 1 night but these premises should not be advertised at all...disaster...

Nothing to like. It is like an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. Dirty rooms. We had booked the only room with a private bathroom but could not stay at the hotel. It was just so horrible. Tried to get s refund but no success yet. Please avoid the place!

Everything was just terrible. On the outside it looks like a place that homeless people have taken over. Not much better in the inside either. Just avoid and run away like we did. This should not be available in Booking at all.

1. Proximity to M7/M8 main Cork-Dublin highway is great; good for access to all local Kildare region 2. Good Parking space around the house

This is an old house property, under various stages of maintenance and has 8-9 guest rooms on the ground floor with 1 shared bathroom amongst everyone (except for 1 room that had its own bathroom) . It is not got for purpose and should be inspected by the relevant authorities in Ireland. 1. Our Family Size Room was a LIVE ELECTRICAL HAZARD for lighting and power sockets - most lights did not work ! & many were missing bulbs; multiple wall socket outlets did not work !! A house manager person eventually arrived after I called for help - this Mr Munir (or similar name?) was very flippant and had attitude that everything was fine and was working! He had no clue about electrical things, laughed if off when I pointed out the issues to him, and this is incredible - he repeatedly banged with his fist on the main wall light switch to try turn it on & off … but ended up smashing it ! This guy is a liability. 2. NO TOWELS provided until much later after I called and the manager guy arrived 3. SHARED BATHROOM amongst 7-8 other rooms !! It was terrible, bathroom is old and no protection for water from shower coming out onto the floor (It was a Bath with shower hose, no anti-slip mats and highly dangerous for elderly & kids). Floor area quickly became a wet dirty mess. Another lady was exasperated and very upset. 4. NO MAIN DOOR KEY PROVIDED AND THE HOUSE WAS KEPT UNLOCKED ALL NIGHT ! Yes we did have a key to our room, however all guest rooms are on ground floor and easily accessed from the entrance, felt quite insecure MAINTENANCE WORKS.around the house 5. BOOKING advertised this room as being sufficient for 5 persons, however there were only 2 double beds so not enough sleeping room for 5 >> THIS PROPERTY IS CLEARLY BEING OPERATED WITH SUB-STANDARD CONDITIONS AND MAINTENANCE WITH PURPOSE OF MAKING QUICK MONEY FROM UNSUSPECTING GUEDTS.

They had really fast customer service, very proactive to all my enquiries and requests. As I’m not from the area, and as visiting, it was abit difficult to get to the location, so I was offered transportation services to and from the location. They were really nice and accommodating!
