I've had an incredibly good time. The rooms were lovely, clean and the bed very comfortable. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to come back on my next vacation in Ireland.

A traditional and comfortable family run B&B

Margaret met us with a friendly welcome and tips for dinner places and places to see. We were greeted both mornings with a beautiful breakfast tailored to our needs and wants. Michael served with aplomb and was a quick wit. We loved the views from the room and found it a very peaceful and restful stay, walks and country sights nearby. One of our side trips was along the Irish Sea coast where we found lovely sandy beaches scattered with all types of smooth pebbles. To visit Glendalough was our main objective and we were not disappointed with all there was to see. Highly recommend walking the wide trails, and do make the time to walk to the abandoned mining camp. Cashel Rock and Black Abbey were great stops on our way to Kenmare.

Lovely people and beautiful place. :)

We came to Macreddin Rock tired from a long travel journey, and Margaret made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She also gave a great rundown of the food and activities in the area. We came for a wedding down the road, and the B & B was perfectly located to pop back for a moment to take a break from dancing and return without anyone having noticed. On the final day, we finally made it to breakfast, which was lovely. We were also having a hard time finding a cab to get the bus back to Dublin, and Michael very kindly offered to drop us. This was the perfect place, and Michael and Margaret went above and beyond as hosts.

Courth yard retreat.

Lovely coach house in a court yard. A comfortable setting with a hearty breakfast available. It is a great place to explore the countryside or on your way, traveling north and south.

Overall we had a nice stay, despite the very noisy room we stayed in

We had 2 nights here, beds are very comfortable and breakfast was nice, and so were the people.

We stayed in the room on the ground floor, which was extremely noisy. We could hear the voices and every step from our upstairs neighbors, especially when they came home at 3 o'clock in the morning :-( Even my husband woke up, and he is a deep sleeper... So the noise was really disturbing.

A picturesque stay in the countryside

We were visiting for a friend's wedding at the BrookLodge, but the hotel was full and we still wanted to stay nearby. We found this B&B was perfectly located just up the road from the venue, so we booked 2 nights. The bedroom was lovely and roomy, with a selection of tea, coffee and other amenities in the room, though we ended up being busy and not using any. The double bed was comfortable and we had two soft pillows per person. We enjoyed a choice of Irish fry and toast or a selection of cereal, yoghurt and fruit for breakfast. There was plenty of space for parking. The hosts were friendly and hospitable, really wonderful. It's a lovely location to stay.

Rural setting for modern, clean and comfortable B&B with a hearty breakfast!

The B&B is in a lovely rural, quiet location but not far from local places to visit/eat etc. Lovely large, comfortable room - all very clean and neat. Breakfast is cooked to order and very nicely presented. Very good value. Very friendly hosts in Margaret and Michael.

The decor is all wood/pine and is attractive - however, we were on the ground floor - and despite to owners writing in their information book for guests on 1st floor to take care with noise levels on the floors (feet and furniture) - we obviously had someone above us who hadn't read this!!!!

A perfect place to relax

The house is cozy and seeing the baby lambs nearby was amazing. Also, the owners were lovely and helped with nice tips for us to explore around.

We didn’t use the TV in the end, but it was tiny for the size of the room. So I’d suggest to update it for the future.

The room was clean and spacious and very bright, it was also warm enough during the whole night.

A convenient base to visit the local area.

We received a warm welcome by the host. The house was warm and dry, ideal for hill-walkers. It is set in an ideal location for access to the mountains, with private parking (ideal for motorbikes). Tea, coffee and snacks were on tap if desired. The host had no problem with us bringing in wet gear, and we were helped with drying them out overnight. The bedroom and en-suite were clean, comfortable and warm. The cooked breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed. And we were sent on our way with good wishes. It was hearty Irish hospitality. The whole experience was a pleasure. We accidentally left some cash, and Michael the host kindly forwarded it on to us. Thank you.

Great stay, wonderful staff, beautiful scenery

Great location in the Wicklow area. Easy commute to Glendalough. We arrived at a great time of year as we were able to have a small “meet and great” with some baby lambs! Highlight of the stay for sure!! Highly recommend this B&B.

The breakfast was amazing but the night that I had was awful.

The breakfast was lovely and the room was spotless

There is no sound proofing between rooms. I was woken many times by people arriving back from a nearby wedding in the night, could hear the people beside me and below me using the bathroom in the night, could hear conversations in the night. Almost no sleep. I did speak to the owner and got the very curt response that there was nothing they could do about it.
