Very cozy, lovely staff, and a great location!

It was a little hot in the room, but the management provided a fan and mosquito netting for the window, so no issues!

Thank you for sharing your paradise!

Everything from the walk to the house to the view out of the window right into the trees was perfect. A magnificent place to stay for hiking in Glendalough and clearing your head. I loved every second of it. Zell and Liam were amazing, too. I'll definitely be back!

Disconnect just a step away from Dublin

We liked the accomodation and the environnement of the house. Also, family guest is is warm and welcoming. We thanks them for their hospitality.

We recommand you to rent a car because, the house is far from the centre of Glendalough and there is no bus stop next to. The facilities were perfect, just a few ideas for the kitchen area: add electric cooking hobs and a water fountain.

The location is beautiful and quiet. We liked the communal downstairs area equipped with air fryer, microwave, kettle, plates, cutlery etc to prepare your own food. The location suits walking to the old monetary and lakes.

Good, but not as we remembered from previous stays.

Lovely setting. Clean, comfortable room. Cozy public room with fireplace. Outdoor furniture for having a pint at the end of the day.

Breakfast is no longer served, which was disappointing as we had stayed there when there was a full Irish breakfast served. It meant we had to go into Laragh to source coffee and breakfast.

Flies and spiders flew in and bit us all night. There were also a lot of insects on the terrace and our romance was ruined. This is for older people.

Wonderful & relaxing

Location 15 minutes walk along Kevin’s way to main Glendalough site. Lovely setting. Owners lovely & helpful. Nice room to do own breakfast, frig provided. Bit of a soft narrow bed for us but otherwise all excellent. Highly recommend

Lovely accommodation for a weekend away with a friend

The location was perfect as a base for hiking and meeting up with family. The room was nice and spacious with comfortable beds. Bathroom was convenient and nice to be able to use fridge in common room.

Very enjoyable!

If you want peace and quiet or are looking to hike the area, this is the place. Liam and Zell were very accommodating and pleasant. My room had plenty of space and it was very comfortable. I was grateful they had an area where I could put together a convenient meal. I was able to put some things in the community fridge, use the microwave, etc., which was very helpful. The location was easy to find, and I thoroughly enjoyed walking the path located across the river to town. I was there 2 days, and my plan was to rest... this was the place for me.

All was great. I did make sure to pick up any food/snack supplies from Centa on R755 (15 min from property) on the way in. But close enough to make a trip as needed.

Fair facilities, no internet, and a TV that's way too small!

It's a nice house with most things you need. There is no stove, though. It's 20-30 minutes walking from the visitor center, following the river.

The TV in the room was too small, and we didn’t have internet during our stay. There was no Wi-Fi available on the property, so be prepared to spend time offline.

still sad we ever had to leave that magical place

in the middle of nowhere, bird song everywhere: a great place to relax and enjoy calm. we had lovely weather and thoroughly enjoyed the morning hike to laragh for breakfast at the heather hotel. there's a way to get there without having to walk on the side of roads, just hiking trails. lovely!!

Cozy, clean and safe.

The house is cozy and clean. The owners adapt pretty well the house and they share with the guests there own space. We'd had an stunning view of the Glendalough Mountain and we spend a great time in the common area playing some board games and playing the piano. We'll be coming back, absolutely!

Beautiful house in a national park, you can start the trails directly from there. Cozy common room with fire place and very helpful hosts. Chocolate egg for easter that we found in our room was a cute surprise. We would definitely come back!

Gorgeous mountain view to wake up to in the mornings. The noise of the river as the sun rose and the birds churping. It is truly magical and very relaxing place to visit for a calm relaxed weekend away.

Breathtaking views!!

This place has breathtaking views... it's the best place where to stay close to Glendalough Natural Park, you have a direct access next to the river to the house (it's a really beautiful way to get there by walk). The room was super clean and the rest of the facilities too. We really enjoyed it and we will be back again!
