Cozy hotel on the Wicklow Way

After a long walk on the Wicklow way, it was a pleasure to be welcomed in this accommodation. The room was spacious and clean. Nice shower. Large kitchen with washing machine. We felt like at home. Big THANKS to Gerry who did really care for our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good value in Tinahely

Black Tom's is located in the center of Tinahely. The bus stop is minutes from the door. There is a good restaurant next door, a coffeeshop and other shops close by. Gerry is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, with cereals, bread, fruit, tea and coffee. The room and shared bath were clean and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for hikers or those wanting a quiet peaceful escape.

The building is showing its age and the floors are a bit wonky in places. But it's a building with history and character.

Booking .com shows 20 Euro, but property owner state 50 euro .. apart of that already cancelled money also not partially refund yet.. So not satisfied with booking.com.

i materassi affondavano e si sentivano le molle,la stanza era GELIDA nonostante la sera avesse acceso il termo mentre la mattina era spento. Il bagnetto ghiacciato. La stanza era troppo umida.

Early check in geen probleem. UItermate vriendlelijk en behulpzamen gastheer

De Gastheer Gerry is uitermate vriendlijk en behulpzaam. Omdat er geen bus reed vanuit Tinahely op zondagochtend naar mijn volgende bestemming bracht Gerry mij ongevraagd met zijn auto naar het volgende dorp. Ook erg leuk om met de gastheer naar de lokale pubs te gaan om Guinness te drinken. Enorme aanrader. een plek waar de extra mile voor je wordt gelopen!
