The place really feels like home, especially the common areas. The staff are incredibly welcoming, and it’s the perfect base for hiking in Glendalough.

It’s a hostel so not expecting the Ritz. Pretty comfy for what they are.

My room was at the back by the kitchen, behind which the staff use as a smoking area so when the room windows are open you hear the conversations and smell the smoke.

Location is great for hiking around Glendalough. Rooms are good enough for the price (you won't get a better deal around here). Staff are cooeprative. The kitchen facilities are a bit of a confusing mess. Also, do not get into the breakfast they offer. There are decent options within about 10 minutes walk.

Kitchen organization is a mess at times. Same with coffee - you can buy a coffee pod but for an early morning cup, you won't have access to the machine.
