The location alone, Perfection through every pane of glass I would even go a step further, saying this is sacred ground blessed by the Almighty.

Modern hostel with the best view in Ireland. Comfortable bed, good shower and Breakfast. Plenty parking also. Thanks for the "later" checkin..

Peaceful location but strange bunkbeds.

Great location, staff and very clean.

Strange for a hostel that there were no designated bunks etc bed 1 bed 2. Also no lockers for storage. And no shelves for the beds. No outlets either for each bed. Very strange. Also extremely uncomfortable mattress but comfy bedding.

Peaceful and restorative

The location is beautiful and just off the Wicklow Way. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff is super nice.

The only downside of this location is that there is very little in food options. Bring your own food or you'll be eating instant ramen. Town is a 5.5 km walk (each way).

One of the nicer hostels, especially for its location

I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm. The room as well as the shared bathroom w/ showers were always clean. I stayed four nights (Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu) in July and the dorm was never fully booked / the last night I had even been alone in the dorm. At no time at had the impression the place was overcrowded. There was space in the fridge as well as on the shelf to store my food and I could prepare and eat my meals with no hassle. There were three ovens (although one broke down while I stayed there) and two microwaves. Hot water for coffee/tea was available at all times. The location is naturally quiet and for hikers a wonderful area to just head out walking in any direction. It's safest though to stay on marked paths or even better on the well maintained Wicklow Way.

The acoustics in the dorm was extremely bad - especially when someone sitting/lying on the upper bunkbed was talking, it was extremely loud and it echoed... And the door to the room would fall shut with a loud bang which each new roommates would have to learn first to avoid it - although some didn't seem to care and so there was a lot of banging... Also the walls were rather thin and so you could hear the male guests partying in their dorm next-door. Plus the window looked out to the parking lot where people were having conversations (and were smoking?) until late. Mind to go grocery shopping before heading to the hostel which is quite remote!

Good hostel on the Wicklow way

Right along the Wicklow way. Well maintained and pretty clean, and has drinks and snacks vending machines. Breakfast is 9 euro and fine.

Make sure to bring your own food for dinner if you’re hiking, there’s nothing nearby

Lovely peaceful youth hostel

Great setting in beautiful, peaceful countryside. Loved the room with an interrupted view south (Room 17). Good kitchen. Large moden design. Good showers.

Great stay

Very clean, beautiful location. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff excellent.

There are no lockers available, and the parking spaces are not marked so struggled a bit with the parking as a lot of people took up two spaces (we managed to park but takes a lot of maneuvering). It would be nice if the rooms had a mirror or more power outlets

Best hostel in Wicklow

Wonderful hostel for doing the Wicklow way hike. It has beautiful scenery around it and located right next to the WW path. The staff was very welcoming. There is a large kitchen available to prepare your own food, so make sure to bring the ingredients. There are also some vending machines for snacks and drinks.

Doesn't provide towels. During the stay there was a teenagers camp, which made the place very noisy after quiet hours but that wasn't really the hostel's fault.

Perfect comfortable stay!

Knockree Hostel is an amazing and friendly place!! The facilities were very clean, the room was warm, and the shared spaces very comfortable and welcoming!! The staff were very helpful and friendly too. It’s a very nice place to stay at, in the middle of the countryside, with a wonderful view on the sunrise above the mountains in the morning! The location is also perfect to join the Wicklow Way, only a 10 min walk. Thank you Knockree Hostel!!

Avis sur l'hostel

Personnel incroyable ! Gentil, chaleureux, à l'écoute s'il y a problème et aide à trouvé des solutions. 4 petites boules de poils comme mascotte de l'hostel, un accueil surprenant mais très mignon. Les dortoires aussi que les pieces communes sont très spacieuse. Il y aurait tant d'autre chose à dire sur cet hostel. De tout les hostel où j'ai été celui là est mon préféré. Je le conseil vivement (surtout pour les amoureux de la nature et des chats😉)

Les 2 seuls petits problèmes que j'ai rencontré son personnel. Les areignés dans les toilettes du premier étage et le chauffage qui tourait à fond. Mais c'est purement subjectif et n'influence en rien mon avis sur cet hostel.

Розташування та вид з вікна був просто чудовим. Атмосфера в хостелі теж сподобалась. Було дуже приємно снідати у дворі за столиком з таким чудовим видом.

Хотілося щоб було трохи чистіше, та було більше зручностей у ванній кімнаті. Було б добре якби ціна була трохи меншою відповідно.

Ruhige Unterkunft für Naturliebhaber

Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig im Grünen mit schönem Ausblick auf die Berge. Die Zimmer (es ist schließlich eine Jugendherberge) sind schlicht, aber reichen für eine Übernachtung nach einer langen Wanderung völlig aus. Super nettes Personal, das einem bei jeder Frage weiterhilft. Es gibt zwar kein Abendessen, aber man kann sich Pizza aus Bray bestellen, was super funktioniert. Snack- und Getränkeautomat sind ebenfalls vorhanden.

Das Frühstück könnte etwas reichhaltiger sein.

Séjour très confortable à Knockree

L’hôtel se trouve sur le Wicklow Way. Parfait pour les randonneurs. Notre chambre a été « upgraded ». Malgré la pluie, la vue de la chambre était magnifique. Le lit était très confortable. La douche était très propre et sympa. La cuisine et la salle à manger étaient bien équipées et propres. Les personnels étaient très accueillants. Il y avait des espaces de salon très spacieux sur chaque étage. Un séjour formidable. Je recommande cet hostel.

Vriendelijk personeel, afgelegen locatie met zicht op de vallei. Er is een gemeenschappelijke keuken en zitplaats.

Geen alcoholische dranken verkrijgbaar in het hostel, enkel snacks en frisdrank uit een automaat. Vanop de Wicklow way is het bergop naar het hostel.
