Beautiful place to stay with the staff.
We loved the atmosphere, good food, staff were fabulous, our room was second to none. Everything was lovely.
One small issue for us, normally 5 star hotels serve breakfast to their guests, but Powerscourt hotel have a buffet,
Also there was an extra charge of €7.50 per person if you wanted anything other than the buffet.
We will definitely stay again.

All else was excellent, staff were so kind and friendly
The setting and room was beautiful and so spacious
The spa was overcrowded…sauna and steam room being renovated…jacuzzi full, mini saunas full…not relaxing, but one of the reasons we chose Powerscourt for our stay. Music in the bar finished too early…just as the party was getting started

Soured taste..
Room was super. Clean and building and grounds are lovely. Design of building is very pleasing.
Tried booking weeks before for Sally Gap Bar for food to no avail. Through emailing via booking.com we found a booking.
On check in told they couldn't find our room. 15mins of being asked are we sure it was for today, it was. They "found" are booking eventually. We had booked and paid extra for the mountain view but alas when we got to our room, there was no mountain view. 10mins on the phone to reception and management to request change to a mountain view. Fairly bluntly told over and over nothing could be done, no gesture of good will or anything. Soured our night instantly. Even when you sit in parts of the building, they have a line of trees blocking the view. Also a footpath ran by the window so every walker had a good glare in.
Dinner in Sally Gap was average but staff were excellent. Whoever designed the bar furniture is in the wrong career. From slipping off the high couches and stools, we changed seats 4 times. Lads at the bar mad a good old fashioned.
Breakfast wasn't included. How they can charge 400+ and not have breakfast is madness.
Probably wouldn't recommend. Overall, poor customer service and over priced.

Great time!
Excellent time spent to the hotel with my fiancée celebrating one year anniversary! The staff was very polite, especially the guy called Bryan from the entrance, which was a great help giving us the bikes from the hotel to make a lovely tour along the river and helping us with precious informations. Also the waterfall it's very nice to visit.
Very vintage!

Great location - not a true 5 star hotel regarding service + attention to detail
The location and grounds at Powerscourt are fabulous. The concierge team were excellent. Many of the younger Indian staff members were excellent ( maintenance , room service and restaurant)
We stayed in room 419 - a Junior Suite. The room had issues with heating on arrival. There are also several large trees positioned less than 2 metres from the windows leading to the bedroom and lounge in the room. At night there was a constant noise coming from the branches hitting the windows due to noise . We didn't sleep 2 out of the 3 nights due to this avoidable inconvenience. When I mentioned this to the front desk they asked had we called down about this. The point here is , we shouldn't have to pack up at 3am in the mornng to move rooms. This hotel and its facility management team should foresee that large trees will impact windows in high winds. I would also point to the need for having to ask for service several times in the main bar. The servers seemed to be more interested in congregating around the bar for some social time - poorly trained , poorly managed.

Not bad but not great
Obviously the hotel and grounds are 5 star, out of this world, but felt the experience wasn't 5 star.
Dinner in the bistro was exceptional I will say. The bed and the bedroom in general was fantastic too.
Everything was great of course, but felt the standard slipped compared to other times I was there. Service in the lounge area was terribly slow. Had to go to bar myself, collect drinks myself and pay at till. I don't mind that at all, but the wait staff kept insisting I sit down and they'd do it and then just ignored me. Disappointed one of the restaurants were closed without warning also.
Biggest disappointment was the spa. The amazing sauna and steam room area gone and only 2 saunas for 3 people out at the pool now. I have that exact sauna in my back garden.
Obviously the hotel and grounds are 5 star, out of this world, but felt the experience wasn't 5 star.

Top class stay
The hotel is beautiful. The staff were lovely, friendly and professional. The rooms are amazing, the food was delicious and the pool/spa area is special.
Food and drink is a tad pricey, but the quality is outstanding.

Enjoyable and Relaxing.
We love everything . The breakfast was so lovely. The night drinks with live singing performance was so enjoyable.
Only one incident happened when the fire alarm went off . We went out to our rooms while we are already in our bed sleeping. Luckily theirs no fire.

Lovely
Great staff and facilities although steam room and sauna are under renovations in the spa. The king suite is stunning and nice to come back to. I recommend the steaks at the Sally gap bar.
The starters in Sally gap bar are nice but I feel these days people are expecting the starters to be on par with the main course. The cote de boeff was seasoned perfectly and accompaniments are stunning. I would skip the starter next time.

Best stay I’ve ever had in Ireland.
It was the best stay we have ever had together. Staff made our engagement celebration very special.
Only thing I can fault them on was that the jacuzzi wasn’t warm but besides that everything was exceptional.

Excellent 5 star hotel close to Dublin. Loved it!
The hotel is fabulous. The staff were great. We had excellent food and wine and the prices were suitable for all. We especially liked the buzz in the hotel and absolutely loved the pool area.
We were upgraded to a suite! It was amazing. Not a thing to dislike.

Unfortunately dissapointed
Comfort of the hotel has been great in past visits and this was no different - food was again extremely good but obvious prices have been well increased lately
"Some" staff (manager) and 1 other were totally unprofessional when in restaurant, unhelpful, almost to a point of ignorance and we ate and left as did not want to be in that situation
Lighting in room was far from ideal, 3 lamps, cobwebs too, very very surprised
We were not informed sauna, steam room etc were totally out of commission, this is one of the main reasons we book Powerscourt, again massive dissapointment as not available due to refurbishment??
Then to top it off during heavy rain, the rain poured through our ceiling and down walls (not dault of hotel)
100% a trip to be left in the past - many a trip to PC has been 100% positive, this was far from that
#dissapointed

Without a doubt the best stay I’ve had at any hotel in Ireland. Will most certainly be back again soon.
Omg where do I start. This stay was amazing from start to finish - from comfort, location, staff to service. The hotel has an amazing pool and sauna/steam room area. It was so relaxing! The staff couldn’t do enough to help you and were extremely professional. The views and scenery surrounding this hotel are out of this world. The hotel grounds are pristinely kept. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and there is not a sound to be heard. It is extremely tranquil.

A great start to our Ireland road trip!
Due to jet lag and nothing on the menu enticing us, we only had drinks and tea at the bar, which were excellent. In particular the old fashions were fantastic, so good we maybe had more than one. :-)
The room was large with a luxury bathroom (the bathroom was perfection) and an incredible bed which was lovely after a 10-hour red eye flight and an hour plus drive from Dublin. Due to rain, we did not get to enjoy our balcony but also there is no privacy as the room next door also shares your balcony and there's only a plantar separating the space. Was it worth the splurge not sure about that, but we enjoyed the experience as our first night in Ireland.
I would also be remised if I didn't mention that the famous gardens are on a different part of the property that you have to pay admittance too. That was a bit disappointing as I was expecting the Japanese/Italian gardens to be outside our room from looking at the pictures of the property. We visited the gardens the next day (we spent a good two plus hours walking the property, and still didn't see all of it, well spent time on a beautiful morning) and it was well worth the visit, highly recommend, they're only about 7 minutes down the road from the hotel. The cafe and coffee shop at the gardens are also worth a mention, it was wonderful, the food and coffee were delicious.
Also, the famous Powerscourt waterfall is another 10 minutes from the gardens and hotel property, take the time to visit, it was stunning and you can easily get very close to the waterfall (wear good traction shoes, the rocks are slippery). Also, the highest waterfall in Ireland, this also requires an admittance fee, great parking and a nice place for a picnic. That was worth the visit as well.
The bed, bathroom and the cocktails were EXCELLENT! Really wish we could have done two nights here. The gardens and waterfall could easily make for a day and half visit.

The perfect hotel to celebrate a special occasion
A beautiful hotel with a calming and relaxing atmosphere.
Staff very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Bike hire was available and we enjoyed exploring the grounds on one of the mornings.
Great shuttle service into Enniskerry.
Both bar areas were chilled and good mix of drinks available.
Great selection of breakfast options.
Room was fantastic- spacious, comfortable bed and dark blinds.
Disappointed that Prosecco not available in the downstairs bar.

A very short stay but comfortable ..
Beautifully presented decorated and furnished
Too much electronic/ digital switches in bedroom … so hard to find what light you want and when you do find a night light it stays on for 5 seconds .. room pitch black at night and you can’t just flick a switch you’ve to try guess where the digital board is and your likely to touch the main button first and bright light the whole room .. a dim sensor light in bathroom would be useful .. beautiful room but that was a real irritation .. The instructions how to work fan are as you come in the door but no sign of where to operate it .. we eventually found it on the touch pad by the bed … room 252…also an intermittent bright flash in the ceiling was annoying too .. otherwise everything else was wonderful .

fairy-tale wedding at a stunning resort.
I attended for as a wedding guest , beautiful setting , large room, comfortable bed , beautiful view of mountain.
spa area by pool had a drainage smell , which was off putting.
Reception staff didnt seem very friendly but they was very busy , I would not have noticed if they had smiled.

A memorable stay to celebrate our 40th Anniversary.
The property and the room were beautiful. All of the staff were exceptional. Your pool was the only one open late enough that we got to use it. The previous hotels had closed theirs at 8.
The bar didn't feel like a bar, it was a restaurant, with the prices, timing, and prices to match. We like a more casual, quick choice when we're tired. The food was good, it was just too formal for us. I'm sure most people find it lovely.

The grounds and hotel were beautiful, we only stayed 1 night as we were travelling all over Ireland but we wished we had stayed longer. We had a room with mountain view.

Disappointing!!!
5 star grounds and appearance but not 5 star service. Never saw a Manager walking round the Hotel to see guests or welcome guests. Had a problem with our room not being serviced.
Staff were polite but clearly rushed on occasion, especially at Breakfast.

Super charming! Coming back no doubt!!
The hotel was beyond perfect, a dreamlike place where one can really disconnect and spend quality time, the staff was super attentive and friendly, the restaurant had a great gastronomic proposal and WOW view, and the room was confortable, spacious, clean and charming (kind of trapped in time)! We are definitely coming back to spend more time and get to know the grounds!!
Thank you for such a great experience! 🙏🏻💙

Beautiful and elegant, but a bit cold
The hotel itself and the location are beautiful. The room was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was super good with top quality ingredients.
Although most of the staff were friendly, many of them seemed to be doing the minimum required of them. At a hotel of this caliber, you expect people to make a bigger effort for you to be super happy, but here we didn’t get that feeling. For example, we were unable to get some fruit for one of our children because the casual restaurant was closed and were told that the only option was to get room service. It turned out to be easier to drive to the convenience store in the town next to the hotel to get a bit of fruit.

Lovely weekend that felt like we were abroad and not in our native Ireland.
We visited during a busy weekend of weddings as we celebrated my wife’s birthday. We were over the moon to receive a room upgrade with a balcony. This made our weekend. Very helpful staff when we needed something and world class facilities. We’ll be back.
Just one cup in the bedroom but we asked the turn down staff for assistance.
