Beautiful stay, remote and relaxing.

Lovely getaway, close to Enniskerry village, beautiful area. Rooms are very spacious and beds are super comfortable. Staff are very accommodating. Breakfast was good.

Bathrooms in lounge were freezing. No heating whatsoever. Rooms could do with deep clean, cobwebs in corners of roof.

Have been there 5 times last year and looking forward to going back this year!

Lovely comfortable hotel, with great breakfast. It’s located in the beautiful area of Enniskerry so lots of nice walks nearby.

The only complaint I had was when a member of staff refused to make a double espresso at breakfast time saying we don’t make them when we are overwhelmed in the kitchen - it was 7am and we were the only ones in the dining room! (all staff are excellent and friendly but this incident was disappointing)

Quiet place to relax

Property is very close to Enniskerry village and local attractions. Beautiful country house nicely decorated and pretty gardens. Nice quiet space in the Drawing Room to relax!

Limited options for food . We arrived @ 330pm and unfortunately no food is served in the bar (just drinks) and the restaurant opened for dinner @ 6pm so had to drive to village for a meal .

Beautiful and relaxing

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting, the staff were lovely! Our bedroom was a little chilly but was a big family room so hard to heat! Breakfast was fantastic with great selections of fresh fruit, pastries and juices. We went to the local italian in the village which was booked for us by the staff member in the bar which was very helpful. The meal was delicious but the walk back up the hill was a little challenging 😂 Will definitely return!

Short but very sweet.

The location was perfect for our friends' wedding nearby. Really peaceful, well looked after and so much character! The staff were great and really attentive. Definitely recommend!

Pleasant location, but not suitable for solo travellers

I stayed one night on 3rd - 4th December 2025. I stayed one night at Summerhill on my own because I wanted to head out to see the Enniskerry waterfall the next day before heading to my next place, and the location was convenient for my trip. The place was lovely, but I would not recommend for solo travelers or just a place to go with friends, as it's more of a romantic place and a setting for formal events. The location was fabulous and the building itself was very nice. The food was just okay, nothing special. And the restaurant and reception staff were nice and polite when i briefly spoke to them.

- The bed was comfortable but the pillows were flat and very uncomfortable, i woke up with a sore neck. - I got woken up many times throughout the night by some kind of banging that appeared to be semi-consistent, so maybe it was coming from the building rather than other guests. - While the place was nice, I would not recommend this place, I just don't think it's suited for solo travelers, and it has a bit of an odd vibe.

A perfectly relaxing short stay...

Sitting beside the open fire, having a Guinness and reading a book was the highlight of my stay. The house is beautiful, the staff friendly and the vibe is relaxing.

Nice enough place, staff was helpful, not a bad value but would probably be nicer in season.

Little hard to find. GPS to their published address took us to the residential subdivision a block away. Staff seemed like a skeleton crew, only saw maybe 3 or 4 other guests. Dining room was empty except for us.

Nice stay, but room was freezing to begin!

Nicely decorated for Christmas, seemed quite homely & good location.

When we walked into the room it was absolutely freezing! On the thermostat it read 11 degrees. It took about 3 hours for the room to heat up a bit! And even at that it was still not fully warm.

Breakfast was good. Staff we met were polite and pleasant.

Decor throughout, the whole place feels tired and worn out. It feels very unloved & scruffy. Bedroom was so basic, we wanted to go home to our own bedroom which is a lot more comfortable. It was a disappointing hotel, did not feel 4 star. Lighting in the lounge in the evening was not good, made the room feel very bright & uncomfortable to sit in. There was no atmosphere at all in the bar, we had one drink & went to bed.

Good and bad.

Interior common rooms were beautiful and comfortable for just sitting or reading. Breakfast was excellent with a large continental buffet or several cooked options.

In the evening we noticed the ceiling and upper walls of our room were covered in cobwebs. The evening desk attendant had to find a four foot long dust wand to collect the cobwebs. The noise outside our room window was very bothersome. Maintenance workers decided to clean up brush and leaves around some mechanical unit near our window at 1:30 in the morning while caring on a lengthy conversation. Much noise outsidethat window every night. It was just a bad room. I think rooms 202 and 204 must be the booking.com rooms. I think anywhere else would have been just fine..

The reception and rooms were excellent

No other guests, the breakfast buffet was taken away before we were finished. The breakfast staff were unfriendly, we felt in the way. The spa was closed Monday.

Breakfast was wonderful, terrific choices, friendly efficient staff. Beautiful location, and hotel couldn't be better. I strongly recommend it, fabulous venue.

Perhaps more signage in the village, although it was dark when we arrived, and we may have missed it. But not a major issue.

Cosy, inviting hotel with a lovely atmosphere

My friend and I had a very relaxing stay at this lovely, cosy hotel. The location is perfect for nice walks and just up the road from the village of Enniskerry. It was great value for money! We really enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast, food was excellent. The staff working here are also very nice and helpful. We had a treatment at the Spa which was also a lovely experience. The room was very big and clean, beds were super comfy.

Close to powercourt estate

Menu on website didn't match the menu in the restaurant. Food was brought out way to fast between starter and main course. Seating in restaurant was poor quality and uncomfortable. Room was cold 1 radiator for whole room. Waiting staff weren't polite at breakfast. Wall paper and plaster pealing/flaking off

Pretty but not peaceful

The breakfast was good and staff friendly

People yelling and crying all night in several rooms. Doors slamming and sounds of things falling. This started around midnight and carried on until 5 am!! Also the plugs weren't working when I arrived and had to get that sorted which in fairness they were

Great Hotel, Location and Top Barman- 'Red'

The beds and rooms are super comfy. Top Marks to Red our Moroccan barman philosopher, a truly educated and clever man. He should be on day duties so many more can experience his effortless wit and enthusiasm!

It's 10ft to the nearest plug point from the bed in 405...this could be easily rectified.
