Our room was 156 pounds aprox which was VERY expensive for ond of the hotels what only could be described as a budget room. Being behind the reception rooms where afternoon tea is served. Our room was noisy outside, no sleep, also air con was absolutely non existence. Only went to 19 lowest if would go! Then reception have unbelievably no fans for 156 pounds per night. Then check in is at 4pm! For that price being charged. It really is not worth this money, the hotel has seen better days most particularly in the bedrooms! It needs updating the painting / decor badly, and the carpets in the landings upstairs and all the bedrooms..

Only stayed 1 night. Price was very high for that one night! It turned out that Robbie Williams was performing that very night unfortunately for me and all prices in Dublin were exorbitant ! It’s a massive hotel - parking was free but not well signposted and couldn’t find any mention of access to car park on their website. It’s actually underneath the hotel. Quiet rooms, lovely view from sea view rooms. Not the best area . Takes an age on the train to get into Dublin City centre and trains on a Saturday night are a sardine situation.

Check in time is 4pm, when you get there at 4pm, room still not ready. Staff is not very helpful. Getting to the room is a mission and no one very willing to help. Rooms are completely outdated, bathrooms are from the 1800’s with a toilet that struggles to work. However, the rooms have good potential and the idea is there to keep it old fashioned. Maintenance is just needed. The good point i can set it the mattress is very good. Not recommended until maintenance has been done.
