Beautiful, warm and cosy cottage

The cottage has everything you need, perfect for a short stay. It is also well heated which is a plus for me. Good location- just a few minutes drive to the centre/shops. Newbridge is also surrounded by the Curragh which is great for walking.

Great location for Golfing

Lovely comfortable property that was ideally located for us to travel to the nearby golf clubs. The property is fully kitted out with everything youll need during your stay. Some lovely coffee and machine supplied which was greatly appreciated on our early starts

Nice central location for a family getaway. 2 rooms. 2 minutes from Newbridge, a lovely town. Less than an hour to Dublin zoo and various other east Ireland tourist spots

An old cottage with a very good renovation completed , good location. Good cooking facilities.

NO WARDROBES! No drawers , no wardrobes , no place to put clothes . A metal frame with a few hangers is not good enough for the price of this property per week. Described as a holiday home , we had to live out of a suitcase on the ground for week. No towel rail in any bathroom, no place to put anything . Such a lovely renovation, to be marred by something as simple as maybe just an Ikea chest of drawers , that would cost 100€. We paid 1,400 for a week , I think a couple of drawers could be purchased?

Rarely do I give 10/10. for accomodation but Lavender Cottage deserves every point!

A perfect property for a family or two couples to stay. I was there for the irish Derby (5 nights stay) and it was perfect for that purpose. If I ahd a rental car as opposed to using a hit and miss taxi service it would be 15/10

The address of the cottage could have been clearer. It seems in Ireland coordinates are used for logging a destination into Google maps but we were told to go to Walshestown which doesn't land you at the right property let alone when calling for a cab. There is some confusion on Booking.com as to the bedrooms etc. Let's change it to read "2 bedrooms each with an ensuite as well as a pull out bed in the lounge"

Truly a home from home!!

Lavender Cottage is a beautiful home with everything you need! Exceptionally clean too!! Super friendly and helpful owners! They made sure we had everything we needed for my 1 year old Grandson too!! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family! We are already booked for another visit!!!

I would happilly live here ;) Such a beautiful home inside and out .Had everything you needed ..was great that both bedrooms had there own bathroom/showers ..loved it ..

Memorable stay at Lavender Cottage

Nothing but good things to say about our stay in Lavender Cottage. the cottage was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. the hosts we absolutely amazing and such nice people it felt like a home away from home. the shower was amazing and we had hot water running through. it’s close to the shops and the station so easy to get in to Dublin but also away from the hustle and bustle. can’t wait to visit Ireland again and hopefully if not booked stay in Lavender cottage again. thank you for such a memorable stay.

Modern building and very cosy. Nice, quiet location.

Bed was a bit soft and rolled away, when getting in. Street light came through the holes on the blinds. We had problem with the hot water, but the owner was very helpful and responded quickly.

the property is in a great location the kitchen was amazing. great house for entertaining. it’s 2 bed 2 bath with plenty of room. there is a lovely courtyard as well as plenty of room for parking. tea, coffee and other items were provided.

The cottage was excellent with. Open plan living area, excellent kitchen facilities and bathrooms. Excellent outdoor area and additional items on arrival I.e milk coffee tea etc chilled water in fridge. Good facilities for small children with feeding chair, travel cot, bouncer seat and games. Additional bedding towels etc available

An additional mattress topper would be good just to make them a little more comfy but still slept well

Lovely place, plenty of space, clean, good location & comfortable.

One of the bedrooms is a bit hard to heat. Some more soft furnishings like curtains & more cushions would help make the place feel a bit more finished & cosy.

Relaxed and welcoming

Property facilities excellent. Superbly equipped kitchen with thoughtful supplies available i.e fresh local milk etc . Bright comfortable and lovely enclosed garden. Location central and easy to find. The owners always on hand when needed and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
