The facilities and property were very clean! Running water everywhere and the bathrooms and toilets were exceptional.

Maybe an extra pillow and thicker duvet as it was getting very cold in the night even with the rad on. Room was slightly dusty but overall clean.

Absolutely brilliant! Don’t think there’s a better choice for a hiking retreat in Ireland!

Room and cabin is absolutely gorgeous and very charming. Feels like you’re in North America. They provide tea, coffee and mugs so you can sit outside on the patio in the morning surrounded by wildlife and a morning chill. Great for stargazing too. I found myself appreciating how thoughtful the experience was a lot. Based off of the advertised photos, my expectations weren’t too high but when I got there my partner and I were pleasantly surprised and quickly fell in love with the place. Lovely restaurant, pub and shop down the road and of course the Wicklow mountains. Delighted with choosing this.

People tend to hog the bathroom just outside the cabins but the bathrooms at the entrance are always free.

I think the advert for the venue undersold facilities available. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw all the kitchen equipment and shower/bathroom facilities and really added to the overall stay.

Sign posts at the junctions of the walking paths for the pod numbers would be helpful. This would not be a common problem though as we arrived in darkness which I would think is not the norm.

I liked that everything was very well thought out, you could tell that it was a passion project for the owners. The way that the cabins were laid out wasn’t to maximise revenue but to give each their privacy and maximise the views. Owner was extremely helpful and accommodating and the nearby village had shops open late with nearly anything you could want. Can’t emphasise enough that this place was a cut above anything else. Just has to be experienced. It’s refreshing to pay for something and get more than you expected.

Nature & Comfort Redefined: My Remarkable Glamping Retreat

I recently had an amazing glamping experience at Glendalough, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The accommodation was even more beautiful than the pictures—cozy, spotless, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Waking up to nature in such tranquil surroundings was a real treat, and the on-site amenities made everything effortless. Whether spending time around the BBQ at night or exploring the nearby trails during the day, every moment felt special. I can’t recommend this glamping site enough for anyone looking for a unique getaway that combines the beauty of the outdoors with all the comforts of a high-end retreat!

The ideal place to spend a few days, switch off and enjoy the wonderful nature and walks!

The surroundings were gorgeous and the pods very cosy, having everything you need ! Spacious kitchen and lots of supplies. A perfect stay in the beautiful countryside, surrounded by nature with deer all around! Thoroughly enjoyed getting away from the city and enjoying the quieter life at the pods. We didn’t have a car but it wasn’t an issue for us, we enjoyed Laragh and Glendalough by foot and the surrounding walks were perfect for us. Patrick is an exceptional host and we would love to come back !

The area was beautiful, but kind of expensive considering the walk distance to a bathroom.

We liked the fact we could use the kitchen to prepare meals and had our own dishes to us. Very clean spaces. The sleeping accommodations were nice.

For the number of people/pods that could be full, it was an insufficient number of bathrooms. Also walking a distance like that to use the bathroom or a shower was too far. They should incorporate at least one more bath house with toilets and showers. I’m used to more primitive camping and campgrounds and even they have more pit toilets per person ratio.

Glendalough Glamping combines the best of mountain living while maintaining a baseline amenities.

Hillside pods with mountain views and neighboring sheep pastures make for a bucolic setting with just a 5 minute walk to café and restaurant offerings in Laragh. Staff are available to address questions/concerns and are incredibly forthcoming with recommendations for food, drink, and hiking trails.

Instructions regarding common spaces and site access were a bit long-winded. The shower facilities lack space to stash a change of clothes or other items, instead requiring that you leave things on the floor or counter, impeding other glampers intending to use the restroom.

Beautiful, well kept, serene, real immersion in nature. Patrick was friendly and kind and gave us everything we needed, even accommodated for early checkin and late checkout with no extra fees. Had a chance to feed the sheep- LOVE.

Just note the exposure to the elements when crossing the compound eg from showers to cabin.

Patrick and the team have thought of everything here. The pods were extremely comfortable, clean and had everything you would need. The common areas are well maintained and well equipped. The paths are well lit, with flashlights attached to each key. Patrick and all staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Beautiful site, spotless clean. It had everything we needed for a cosy stay. The toilets were a bit of a walk at night. Just a suggestion to maybe add some second toilets closer to the pods. But overall, an excellent stay.

A lovely escape from a busy work week

The pods were clean and nice. There is a kettle inside and a heater, so not to worry about getting cold. The views to the mountains are just absolutely stunning. Patrick is an amazing host!
