Completely Misrepresented and Unusable on Arrival

I had a truly disappointing experience with this property and would not recommend it. The listing stated that parking was included, but when I arrived, there was no parking permit, and the host admitted over the phone that it had been missing for days with no replacement. All parking spaces were already taken, and I had to stop in a non-designated area at the end of a cul-de-sac while trying to get access to the property. We were unable to unload or refrigerate food or medication, and the host offered no support at the time. The condition of the property itself was also far below acceptable standards. We found faeces in the toilet, hairs on the bed and around the toilet, and visible dirt and flies in the bathroom and rooms. There were also trip hazards from loose trailing cables, and first-floor windows left wide open with no restrictors, despite the property being advertised as family-friendly. I raised this with the host immediately, but the only response was an offer to send a cleaner the next day, which is not an acceptable solution for a guest arriving that evening. I was left with no option but to vacate the property within 40 minutes and find emergency accommodation late at night, incurring additional personal expenses. Despite this, the host later attempted to imply that I had “planted” evidence of the issues, despite having already apologised and offered to fix them. This caused significant disruption, incurred extra costs, and was a complete failure to meet the basic expectations set by the listing. I have submitted evidence to Booking.com and hope steps are taken to ensure no other guest goes through this. The host tried to accuse us of planting hairs in the property (as the hairs were not the colour of her cleaners?!) and then apologised for them, only to later state that she believed they were planted again. I have asked for a full refund, and Megan Rose Lane of Megan Rose Retreats has offered only a 50% refund.

De locatie was oke
De accomodatie was vies: schimmels op de vensterbanken, stoffig, plakkerig er lagen vieze handdoeken en lakens in de kledingkast en het matras was zo zacht dat je de vering voelde. de accomodatie lijkt op de foto maar alles was stoffig, hard, of plakkerig. Ik heb hier over contact gehad met de verhuurder ze zei bedankt voor je eerlijke mening sorry voor deze ervaring. Maar niks ter compensatie of schoonmaken of het verwijderen van de handdoeken en lakens.
