Would absolutely recommend for gigs at the Olympia!

Location for gig at the Olympia, self-check-in and -out, own bathroom and very functional kitchen

Got what we paid for?

It's difficult to rate this place, on the one hand, it was cheap and kind of what we paid for,on the other hand I have paid for similar and gotten slightly better/smoother experience. The house has been converted into multiple small studios. We were in Room 2 on the ground floor looking out to the back yard. This means we didn't have outdoor light issues. Location: out of centre but well connected, we came by car and so parking was easy. Buses were great. I love traditional brick row houses so great to experience that. Cleaniness: very clean. Kitchen: small, may be able to make basic pasta quick meal. We made continental breakfast and that was a challenge to wash and dry the dishes due to lack of space. Interior: our room is very small and I think some things could be moved about to make it more spacious. The armchair could be removed (not in the pictures when booking) and a second foldable chair given instead. There is 3 bedside tables, one could be remove. Fridge could be swapped with the bin.... Noise: we were lucky that the people above us were fairly quiet. It's an old house and not well insulated. I can see how if you're unlucky with the person above, it can get real loud real quick.

Access: the fob wasn't place correct and we were lucky we managed to get inside to then access the misplace fob and main key. Window: we wondered why the bathroom was ice cold, the window turns out to be cracked once we lifted the blinds... this was not fun in 1 degree cold.

Good stay

The property was cleaned good, there was everything for a short stay. Good water pressure in shower.

The building is quite old and soundproofing is really bad. Also I was a bit annoyed with automatic lighting in kitchen.

It was very clean and quiet but would have been improved if the lock on the door made us feel safe.

I liked how you could collect the keys yourself and didn't have to meet anyone to collect them. Also, it was good that there was a kitchen so we could have food if we liked. The property was very clean and tidy as well.

There was no drainer or tea towel in the kitchen so we couldn't dry our pots and the bin wasn't large enough for stuff we needed to recycle. I also struggled to open my J20 as there was no bottle opener. The lock on the front door doesn't always open the first time which we panicked about as we got back late and was scared the door wouldn't open. There is a phone number so I would have rang that if the door didn't open. Our door to our room also rattled when locked so we didn't feel very safe. I think that there needs to be a bolt on the inside to prevent this. Finally, for some reason the water in the bathroom smelt of eggs. It got worse over the duration of our one night stay so this needs sorting.

It was almost ideal

It was nicely furnished and looked modern and well kept. There were ample plug sockets and in useful places. It was close to good bus routes so was a good base to stay to see the city. It was very clean. The communication prior to arrival was great. We had cause to contact the owner whilst staying there and we can't fault that communication.

The booking.com information said that it had an oven. It didn't. The implication was that you would be able to cook a meal there. Not really - you'd be able to do a microwave meal or beans on toast but there were literally two hobs and no utensils. The information also said it had a flat screen TV. It did but it could only be used by casting to it from a phone/laptop. There were a few minor things that are easy to rectify that would improve the stay: the toilet roll holder in the bathroom was loose, the kitchen sink tap was loose, the dispensers in the shower area were empty. There is no drainer in the kitchen and no pot towel either. The basic utensils were absent e.g. scissors, bottle opener, etc. A little paint touch up on the frame above the bay window would also just make it a bit smarter. Not deal breakers but simple improvements.

OK for one night as a base. Not actually close to anfield as advertised- 40 mins brisk walk. It's actually studio rooms in terrace house on residential street - ok but not quite as advertised.

Nice studio room. Very good value. Staff member was there when I arrived who was incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Cornflake boxes & biscuits are a nice touch.

My TV was not connected to the internet. Staff member did his best to try & fix it but to no avail. Mattress wasn’t brilliant.

Super host and superb stay

The room was in excellent condition. Everything was neat and clean the moment we walked in. There was an issue with the shower for a while and we called up our host. She immediately send someone to look into it and it was sorted in a while. Our host Ms. Anuja was amazing and did everything possible to make sure we had a great stay. She was quick to respond to our calls and super helpful with whatever we had asked for.

The only drawback would be the location. It was a super chilled and quiet place for a stay but a bit far from the city centre, though just a few minutes walk to the bus stop and a 10 min ride from the bus stop to the city centre

Really lovely property, exactly as pictured! I very unhelpfully left my jacket in the wardrobe after leaving the property but the communication regarding the return of my jacket was great! Thank you to the property management team and cleaners! Would stay again.

Description to enter property could be better, didn’t see there was a fob to get into the front door of property so spent half-hour putting in the room code thinking it was intended for the front door. However, due to us not being able to get in we got given a late checkout which was much appreciated.

Neglect by bookings.com, awful service

**Review: Avoid This Property and Bookings.com** I recently had a distressing experience with a property listed on Bookings.com that left me deeply disappointed. Upon arrival, I was appalled to discover that the room was infested with mould and damp, emitting an unbearable smell. It is shameful that Bookings.com allows such properties to be listed on their site. Despite only staying for under 2 hours, I had to leave due to the hazardous conditions. I have specific health conditions, and the mouldy environment caused my skin to flare up and gave me severe breathing issues. The room was simply uninhabitable. Adding to the frustration, I was unable to secure a full refund, reflecting the awful service provided by Bookings.com. It is unacceptable that they would host such deplorable accommodations and then fail to support their customers when issues arise. I strongly advise against booking this property and urge caution when using Bookings.com. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I am ashamed of the service I received.

The fact they took my money and left us stranded in Liverpool after travelling from Leeds, receptionist told us property had been shut down months but still took my money! I had to find somewhere else to stay!! Avoid this place!! Scammers

Not worth the time, effort, or money

Room was clean, shower was hot.

Online check-in system doesn't work properly. Attempts to get help ignored other than continual automated messages pestering me to check in and add credit card details or room would be cancelled. Messages sent on WhatsApp have an auto reply saying to 'contact us on WhatsApp'. Multiple calls and messages ignored. Over xomplicated room entry system. Internet was so slow it was pointless connecting. TV wouldn't work as not connected to WiFi (which was non functional anyway) or an aerial. Doors all slam and squeak loudly so whole house is noisy when anyone moves around. Blind doesn't keep light out. Huge gap under room door with light stuck on in hallway streaming in. Big, clearly not recent, hole in the stairwell wall. Got an automated message at twenty past midnight waking me up to remind me of the checkout time. Got the same asking for a Google review at 8am. You can't just automate everything. It doesn't work and it really annoys people. Do not recommend.

The room was great and just what I needed for an extended stay in Liverpool, allowing me to be self sufficient. Hosts were very responsive.

lovely place, ignorant staff and quite useless assisting when there is an issue

location and cleanliness

when booked 5 days later I took a call from OYO stating that I had to pay an additional £55 for laundry services. I refused so they said I would lose my booking, I reported it to booking.com who contacted them and said they must honour the booking. this took 3.5 hours on the phone and on the day of arrival I didn’t receive the check in details at 2pm as promised so another 35 mins on the phone until I got to check in. the check in details did come through at 5.15 pm

awful don’t waste your time or money

we did not stay here as our booking was messed up. we were sent to another property but we did not stay here as there was another group waiting to enter and we were told we had a private lounge are which had no security what so ever. the other group walked in.. bed was rock hard.. these properties are houses made into ‘hotels’ they charged 55 and then decided to add a further flee for cleaning and bedding so ended up paying double and I didn’t even stay in the end. scam

on arrival the place had not been cleaned and there was a huge pile of brick dust in the bathroom. the mirror was smashed. the bed really poor and gave us bad backs when we told them, they ignored us and lied and denied the issue, even though we have proof

Shouldn't have been posted on booking when the finishing touches had not been completed. Poor workmanship in the renovation and a lack of attention to detail let it down as done well this could be a nice little studio offering at a lower price point. Broken mirror, broken window, bathroom hadn't been deep cleaned after renovations, no mirror in bathroom, light sensor didn't work when within shower leaving occupant in darkness, TV not tuned in, fridge transportation packaging not removed.Electric conduit hanging down in hallway. Poor quality mattress.
