Florence F&M Via Verdi 5

The location is ideal if you want to be in the heartbeat of the city. You are an easy walk from just about anything you might want to see in Florence - a 20+ minute walk to the Boboli Gardens, even closer to the Arno, Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, etc. The interior of the apartment is more than adequate for a multi-day visit - convenient kitchen and dining area, comfortable sitting room.

There are a few things that any guest will need to prepare to navigate - the apartment is reached by climbing up 3 flights of stone stairs (no elevator). There is only 1 set of keys, so you need to stay in touch if you separate from any mates. The downstairs sitting room has 1 comfortable couch and 1 extremely uncomfortable couch. We used the uncomfortable couch as a place to leave things, never sat on it. The kitchen and dining area are up a flight of stairs on a second level. And then you go up 1 more level to get to the bedroom and bathroom. Thus if you are in the sitting room/library on the lower level and you want the bathroom you will climb 2 sets of stairs. There are 2 beds in the bedroom - a queen size and a single bed. I did not find either to be particularly comfortable and ended up sleeping on the couch in the sitting room/library (I did not fold it out, though it does fold out if you want this). The "shower" in the bathroom will be ok if you are less than 1.5m (5 feet) tall. Otherwise you are on your knees in a very small bathtub. None of these need to be major inconveniences if you are prepared for them, and the location may make each inconvenience worth it.

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist perfekt, super charmante, gemütliche Wohnung mitten im Stadtzentrum. Sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet (Bialetti & Espresso :), toller Blick auf den Dom aus dem Schlafzimmer und die Klimaanlage hat super funktioniert.

Alles perfekt! Würde sofort wieder buchen.

The apt. was great. The top floor where the beds were was comfortable and the slice of view of the Duomo was atmospheric. Great to have air as it was stuffy upstairs. It was nice to have a kitchen and dining table to eat and work.

Getting the keys was a bit of a hassle - contacting via whats app, then calling, then back and forth, submitting documents and paying bed tax before we had the code. Make sure you have data! Felt rather unpersonable. Also the "elevator you will find is private and is not relevant to us" - felt pretty relevant carrying bags up 4 flights of stairs.

The location was excellent. We liked the view of the duomo from the bedroom, the skylights were nice, and we were happy to see split mini air conditioners. We liked being able to watch cable TV plus streaming access (Netflix).

There were almost no basic supplies provided: no paper towels or napkins, hardly any toilet paper, no toaster, no coffee, no microwave. We didn’t like that we couldn’t use the elevator even though it was in working order and was being used by others. There was furniture randomly stuck in odd places, such as a sleeper sofa in the loft area where the kitchen table and refrigerator was. There was a sofa in the living room that looked like it had been picked up from a dumpster. I would not have sat on it. The hot water in the shower only lasted a few minutes.
