Amazing location and spot on description of the apartment

Alberto was a great host and very helpful. he was on time to hand over the keys to the apartment. I think we would come back and stay in his apartment again.

The heating generally in Florence is controlled (by no fault of the owner). It used to get cold sometimes during the night but other than that everything was great.

Perfect for location

Unbeatable Location The place was in a perfect spot—just 100 meters from the Duomo, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. Clean but Cluttered It was clean overall, though a bit cluttered. The photos didn’t quite match the reality, as the space had a much more rustic vibe than expected. While not exactly as pictured, the place had its own charm and served its purpose well. Location Rating: 10/10 If you’re prioritizing location, this spot is hard to beat. Alberto greeted us at the location and gave us excellent location details and very explicit instructions on operations of the facilities.

Very well located

There are so many fees: Gas fee, Electricity fee, Cleaning fee per stay and City tax. Also there is a extra charge or "no show" depending the hour you get at the apartment. I didn´t like the way the host treated me throught massages. Once I wrote I thought he gave a rude answer and he wrote I was being oversensitive. In other massages he said it was not possible to check in before 3 pm, but later he said it was possible and it would be better for him and for me. Once the apartment ran out of water (for feel minutes). I wrote him and he answered it didn`t depend on him. To finish, at the and of the stay, I wrote thanking him and he didn`t answer. Seven hours later I wrote (just to check) that the apartment ran out of water again and he instantly answered me. 10/08/2025 Comment after host response: Dear Alberto, Again, I`m surprised with your comment. You are the one who is descending the level. I just related facts. I never refered to you personally as you did, calling me a “pleasant character” in an ironic way, calling me a bit and saying that I asked for silly requests and tantrums. I just asked if the check in could be earlier and I communicate you that there was no water on the apartment (after 20 minutes the water came back). You also called me not sensible. I have been always very polite, and precise in responding to your requests. I didn´t expect such an impolite and low-level response. I’ m the one who demands respect! The reader will make up their own minds.

Fantastic location - Very clean & comfortable apartment

This was one of our favourite stays on our whole trip. A fantastic apartment in an awesome location! The host (Alberto) was absolutely delightful. He met us at the property for key handover and then proceeded to show us around the property and how everything worked. The apartments is an older style apartment but was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable (even the fold out sofa that we utilised as we were a group of 3). The bathroom is very compact but certainly done the job. Was so handy having a washing machine. The location was superb - right in the heart of everything. Easy walking distance to just about everything, a taxi stand a few metres away if needed and a short walk to the train station for further travel. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Great stay in a central location in Florence

Location is great, close to Duomo and walking distance to Florence attractions. Apartment was basic but had everything we needed for our stay. Host Alberto was very responsive and happy to explain the history of the area when we checked in. Host Alberto was happy to help make reservations on our behalf for local restaurants ahead of our stay which was a massive help.

Wifi was slow.

We had a wonderful time in Florence in the comfort of this lovely apartment.

The location of the apartment is excellent. It is a few steps from the spectacular Duomo. There is a little supermarket a few doors up the road and many lovely eateries and shops. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and well equipped. Alberto greeted us in a very friendly and punctual manner and was very informative about our stay.

The stairs to the bedroom could be made safer.

We stayed right in the heart of Florence — the location couldn’t have been better! We easily explored the historic center on foot, fully immersing ourselves in its charm. Our host gave us a warm welcome and shared great tips on must-see spots and the best places to eat. We truly enjoyed our stay and now have a favorite host in Florence!

Peaceful and useful place to stay

Location of the house was good and helpful for us and it was so clean too. We walked many places around 15-20 minutes. Fortunately market, bakery and restaurants we so close. Alberto helped us a lot, we thanked pretty much him again. We enjoyed and had really good time in that place.

In the heart of Florence!

It was clean and roomy. Very comfortable. It had air conditioning, if needed. It was within walking distance of all the major attractions of Florence. We loved the floor length windows to have open, and when closed they drowned out the noisy street at night.

We loved staying in such a historic building, but we never had a warm shower. Maybe we did not know how to navigate the shower control, but we tried every which way to obtain warm water. We visited in the summer, so it was not a big deal.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. This property is within touching distance of the Duomo and pretty much central to everything a tourist will want to do on their trip. It was my first trip to Florence and the location was top quality. Even the apartment is well furnished, spacious and comfortable. Easy to locate and enter. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby as you can imagine being so close to the Duomo. Convenience of location allowed us to come home to chill in between a day of sight seeing since we were almost always within a 10 mins walk from any tourist activity. I will love to come back here. Big plus is that the apartment is HUGE. Perfect for a couple. No more since there's just one comfy bed. I wouldn't travel here with kids since bedroom is on the mezzanine + no privacy from kids since it's one studio.

Air-conditioning should be improved. The house is huge and there's just one AC. It gets hot at times at night, especially when you're sleeping since the bed is not close to the AC. There is a bed-side fan but it doesn't cut it. Also the AC stops working if you keep it below 20 degrees celsius for more than an hour or so. Means you can't keep it at 16 in summer. This is definitely and area of improvement that the host should look at.

Cozy apt with charm and character

The apartment gave the feeling of living life as an Italian. It is an older building/ apt with lots of history and charm. It has all you need to cook and relax. We always felt safe. There is a grocery a few doors down. We took advantage of that had made dinner 2 nights. It was fabulous. Mr Galante cares about his visitors and is always available for communication. He reminds me of my dad. That definitely made me smile. So caring and kind.

I really don’t have any negative comments. Aside from when renting from him he has more than one rental. So be sure you are reserving the correct apartment.

Terrific Location, Nice Apartment, Extremely Noisy

Very nice apartment, decent size for family of four with pull out sofa bed, location is fantastic.

They need to sound proof the windows, it was incredibly loud. The location of the apartment we had by the Duomo was terrific, but you hear everything given it's popularity until 1-2am and the windows aren't sound proof... Everything else was nice.

Comfortable and roomy.

It was spacious and had separate sleeping quarters and bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. Also, had separate living area and separate kitchen with washing machine and separate dining area. Enough room for large drying rack which was provided an helpful. I liked two pitchers of chilled water in the refrigerator when we arrived. In March, room temp was perfect. Did not need to adjust. WiFi worked very well. Wooden window shutters act as blackout curtains but let in flood of light when open and not much noise.

Not a dislike so much but just be aware that second bedroom is accessible by narrow spiral staircase. The loft bedroom is very roomy though. Also, key entrance to apartment was tricky for us on first use. I had not used old key before. Just ask management to show you how to use and try it with management up front. Easy once you know how to angle key.

1x very small bathroom Location was deceptive in the booking.com description. If there are multiple sites at different locations, then there should be a different ad. We thought we were staying closer to town - this made it difficult with 3 young children.

Comfortable, accessible, friendly

Very spacious and comfortable, it felt like home away from home. Clean. Everything is at the apartment you could wish for, even a washing machine. Great service, Albert was quick and informative when it came to messaging. Excellent experience.

I thought the location of the apartment was in a different spot. But the owner owns multiple locations/apartments and I didn’t notice till after I made the booking. With that being said, all the information and locations are available online and very accessible. More user error on my part

i do not recommend this place.

first of all, the pictures in the booking website are not the pictures of the apartment. once we did the reservation, they chose another place for us and sent us the new address. the apartment was located in the second floor and the second bedroom was on the loft which had a very uncomfortable stairs going up. there was no place to put the luggages and there were lights on the floor which damaged our suitcase. in general I do not recommend this place.

We felt extremely lucky to be staying in beautiful Florence in such a beautiful apartment.

it was extremely spacious, well-furnished and in an excellent location. The property owner, Alberto, made us feel like family. The location was also excellent - a short walk to key attractions but away from noise and crowds at the end of the day.

- Washer/dryer not working - big disappointment as we had a baby with us and laundry piled up. - WI-FI was erratic - Room was pretty cold at night due to heating restrictions 19.5 C - The place was over 20 min walk from Doumo - this should be stated clearly in basic info - Master bedroom bed matrice is old and is bent in middle - needs replacement - Master bedroom needs curtains - Children blankets were dirty - Apartment is nice but needs a deep cleaning job

Excellent stay, very nice apartment!

A terrific place to stay, close enough to the city and attractions including the tourist stuff, shopping, and restaurants/cafes. Our host, Alberto was terrific in communications with me during the weeks leading up to our arrival and he met us here for check-in and explained everything - he was truly wonderful. The apartment is spacious and well appointed. It was about a 10-15 minute walk (mostly flat). Although we ate out every meal, the kitchen had everything you need. The master bedroom is huge and there was more than enough space for us to spread out throughout the apartment. The 2nd bath is tight (especially if you are a larger/taller person) but not a big issue (and the 1st bath has plenty of room). We really enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here for just a few nights and the location is exceptional! it is within walking distance from the train station, lots of souvenir shops, supermarket and restaurants. I didn’t realise the main bedroom was separated by a spiral staircase as the apartment is open plan. it’s not an issue as the apartment was nice and clean. I would recommend and I would stay again!

Great location, comfortable dwelling and excellent communication from the hosts.

the location was reasonably close to the train station so we were able to walk to and from with out luggage. We were very close to the beautiful Duomo and the David. The apartment had all the necessities and was also close to a grocery store. Alberto was in regular contact and Allegra, who met us with the keys was knowledgeable and thorough.

The photo advertising the apartment on the Booking.com site is not the apartment we stayed in. our apartment more than met our needs and we were comfortable but the photos were misleading.

Very poor

hello Alberto, we spent an extremely unpleasant night: the noise in the street is incessant, but obviously we are in a big city, and noise is inevitable. on the other hand the sofa bed is a horror: as soon as you move, the slightest movement it squeaks: the solution was to put the mattress on the floor. At the price of the night which is still high you could change and put a correct sofa.

The host met us upon arrival, and made sure we were familiar with all aspects of the property. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a nice stay in Florence.

It wasn't clear where the apartment was, exactly, during the booking process. Fortunately, it was in a quiet part of the city, which turned out to be very nice.
