Haworth Village House - Sleeps 6 Parking & Pets!

Location is good and was always able to park nearby. Quiet area within walking distance of the town. Haworth is hilly and you can't avoid the hills but we enjoyed finding different routes. Well equipped house, comfortable beds and great bathroom. Lots of lights. Generous welcome goodies. Coffee machine with pods. Toiletries and plenty of towels and bathmats were provided.

Stairs are steep, narrow and turning so could be a problem for the less mobile. Not much space in kitchen for own supplies as cupboards all full. A proper mirror in the twin bedroom would be good. The table is a bit tricky to use as it is a little hemmed in by a bookcase one end and TV cabinet the other.

The house was clean and tidy with lots of character. The host left plenty of towels and a good selection of toiletries. The kitchen was well equipe. The host left bread, butter milk and homemade cake, with a selection of teas, coffee and sugar, which was very nice to be able to have a drink after a very long and tiering journey. The house is in a quiet residental area. It is a good location to use as a base for exploring the area. We drove into Keighley day to use the trains, which the car parking was free and had good regular service to the area.

The house deffinently is not suited to anyone with mobilty issuses, the stairs are very steep and narrow and have a curve in them and does not have full handrails. The house is over 4 floors, laundry facilties in the basement, mocrowave on the stairs between kitchen and basement. The beds are very firm, on the second floor with a large spacious bathroom on the third floor. The lounge furniture has no comfort and the sofa bed smells of dog. The table needs to be moved out from the window for 4 people to sit around which was heavy and difficult to move and felt like it would fall apart.

The property was charming. It had a well equipped kitchen, a lovely big bathroom, comfortable beds. Easy to find parking near the house. The owner had also left fresh, bread, milk, butter and cookies for us. A lovely touch.

There are a lot of stairs so if you’re elderly or have difficulty walking, it could be a problem.
