Swanfold

Location is excellent. Tastefully decorated, very well equipped and comfortable. The little courtyard is handy if you have a dog. Sits in the middle of 2 lovely pubs (a few doors down/up from both, no pub noise though, so don't let that put you off) In an attractive and historic village, which has a post office that has a few supplies but only open daytime and a cafe a few minutes walk away that did a great breakfast and cakes were excellent. The bath tub was incredible and the perfect size for me at just over 5 foot. Great communication from the owner who sent a text to check all was well.

The stairs are very steep and slippery if you don't have shoes or slippers on. If you have any mobility issues they could be an issue. The upstairs has beautiful old floor boards but a couple are loose and when stepped on they closed together and pinched my skin (again not an issue if not bare foot) They kindly supplied logs for the burner, but they weren't well seasoned and were very large, so they didn't take with the small amount of kindling and no way to spilt the logs, which was a shame. Water pressure from the basin tap poor but no issue with the shower. Shared not as complaints just information, this really is a lovely cottage and well worth a visit.

Excellent location, well equipped and comfortable.

Location was central to the village near the car park and bus stop. Very cozy, comfortable and clean cottage with all the facilities you needed for your stay. Lovely little back garden which was great in the sun for evening drinks.

Stairs quite steep to bedrooms.

Spacious rooms (unusual in these cottages), elegantly and comfortably fitted out, good practical well equipped kitchen, lovely sunny private terrace garden (again rare). Location right in the middle of the village yet quiet with good outlook. Only a couple of minutes walk from the car park so we didn't even bother driving up to unload before parking. Also very handy for the bus up from Hebden Bridge and the village shop which sells all the essentials (though watch out for quite restricted opening hours.)

Narrow steep stairs - we were happy, and liked them as part of the character, but anyone with mobility trouble would find them difficult. Silly frustratingly short bathtub when there would be plenty of room for a proper one. But that's about all we can find to carp about!
