Perfect for our needs, would stay again!

The location was perfect for our needs (it helped having a pub across the road!) The property was beautiful and clean, with basic essentials available (tea, coffee, biscuits etc) Parking was on a little private gated driveway at the front of the property Charlotte and Andrew were lovely hosts!!

Great base for a family stay

A great place to stay. We were attending a concert at the Piece Hall in Halifax and it was a perfect base for a family weekend, and easy to get in and out by taxi. Charlotte is a great host and looked after us well. The house is unusually well equipped with the everyday bit and pieces so often missing in rental houses; the living room is spacious and the bedrooms and kitchen are a good size. Also, a nice local pub just across the road, with a decent pint and good food!

WiFi a bit temperamental, but good enough for web browsing; not the owners' fault - just country life!

Very enjoyable holiday, a real home from home and would definitely return again.

It was situated in a lovely village, and the Lodge was very well equipped. It was well placed to visit lots of nice places. The hosts had thought of everything and there was plenty of room to relax.

I had to block off one side of the garden so my dog didn’t escape but that was soon remedied. My elderly mum struggled to get into the master bed as it had a ledge all around it & was not very supportive but saying that she slept soundly.

A beautiful place!

Beautiful place. Very clean, spacious interiors. The photos do not fully show the charm of this place. High-quality equipment and accessories. Beautifully and comfortably furnished. Large garden, terrace that provides privacy. Everything you need is there. Great owners. Nice welcome. Private place for the car. I recommend this place with all my heart.

This is a lovely place to stay if you want a touring base in Yorkshire. The location is great, close to main arterial routes whilst remaining in a quiet village location. The owners have taken care to include everything you might need for a comfortable stay.

Great - will be back.

Perfect location in a lovely quiet village but easy to access local town for food shopping. Two pubs within very easy walking distance - had a lovely meal at the nearest one. Beautiful woods for walking in nearby. Hosts incredibly welcoming - they are nearby but the property still felt secluded. Extremely well appointed with lots of little extras e.g the kitchen had vegetable oil, salt & pepper, foil, washing up liquid etc, which was really useful for a short stay (though obviously if you are staying for longer then you would supply your own!!). Nice to have off-road parking too. Slept well and enjoyed coffee on the verandah looking out on delightful scenery. We will definitely be coming again.

Wi-fi was a little dodgy, but then we didn't come here to be on our phones the whole time, so really not a problem. Our teenagers managed to get sufficient wifi for their 'needs' so that's fine!

Photos do not do this place justice! It’s so cosy, home from home, spacious and welcoming. Cannot fault it! Exceeded our expectations

Superb

The location for us was perfect as we were visiting family. The lodge was clean and had all the essentials to start a break. The instructions from Andrew were clear and he was always available by phone and often outside for a quick chat.

Nothing negative to say but a few more coat hangers in the twin bedroom would be appreciated and a mirror would be a good addition.

Lovely location

Plenty of room, beautiful views, great location, very comfortable and clean. Good quality towels and bedding with a well equipped kitchen. Lovely finishing touches like kitchen condiments, games, bathroom soap, outdoor seating. Very friendly host who was happy to help.

Exceptional

The whole place is stunning. Lovely views, the lodge itself is beautiful. Facilities all excellent, beds very comfortable. Everything we needed in the kitchen. The games kept us entertained on a rainy afternoon. Really enjoyed it. Will definitely revisit.

The listing said no wi-fi so we didnt bring our chromecast. The tv reception was a bit hit and miss but we made it work. Would have been nice to have a couple of chairs on the balcony to sit out when the kids went to bed......although beware not to get shut out as the balcony doors only open from the inside.
