Nicely decorated, really cosy and pretty house. We all had a lovely time and the location is so good to access the rest of hebden bridge town centre. We came as a group of friends and it fit everyone really well. Lots of unique design details which everyone appreciated. An amazing value for money!! You don’t see many places of this quality for such an affordable price, and we had the most wholesome memorable weekend.
Not very private as it’s on a main road but didn’t bother us too much as we could just put the blind down. When we arrived, the mugs and glasses weren’t very clean - there was a dead spider in one of the mugs. When one of us used a towel after showering, there were some little dog hairs on it which was a bit strange, and the towel smelt dirty, and a lot of the corners of the rooms were cobwebbed and dusty. the master bedroom had a dip in the bed and we lifted up the mattress to see and the planks were duct taped so it took us a while to try to sort that but it was too far gone really and so the bed had a dip in both nights we stayed. Overall, we had an amazing stay and none of this bothered us too much.

The property was spacious and adequate for five people.The owner responded promptly and facilitated early access to deposit luggage which was very helpful.
The parking in Hebden Bridge is dreadful but not the hosts fault. There is one bathroom/ toilet on the third floor- the host advises about this but as we could see provision of additional facility would be difficult and detract from the ‘feel’ of the property.

Location in town was excellent - lovely walks, shops/cafes etc all nearby.
Property very tired and needs some TLC/updating. Kitchen wasn’t clean with dried food on cutlery, stained tea towels, broken and loose tiles in front of cooker, no working light or extractor over gas hob. Just didn’t feel prepared for our stay. No serving dishes, just plates and dessert bowls. Bathroom very tired with various layers of sealant round the bath showing signs of age/black and loose toilet seat. Cold water tap in bath not working so no shower or bath available (discovered on last day). Drawer in bedroom cupboard broken. Very dusty and generally a bit run down. Pictures on booking.com are not of current condition. On a very busy junction so lots of traffic during the day. Quieter at night but too noisy to open front bedroom windows. Parking is tricky but manageable.
