A lovely house for a group of friends

Nicely decorated, really cosy and pretty house. We all had a lovely time and the location is so good to access the rest of hebden bridge town centre. We came as a group of friends and it fit everyone really well. Lots of unique design details which everyone appreciated. An amazing value for money!! You don’t see many places of this quality for such an affordable price, and we had the most wholesome memorable weekend.

Not very private as it’s on a main road but didn’t bother us too much as we could just put the blind down. When we arrived, the mugs and glasses weren’t very clean - there was a dead spider in one of the mugs. When one of us used a towel after showering, there were some little dog hairs on it which was a bit strange, and the towel smelt dirty, and a lot of the corners of the rooms were cobwebbed and dusty. the master bedroom had a dip in the bed and we lifted up the mattress to see and the planks were duct taped so it took us a while to try to sort that but it was too far gone really and so the bed had a dip in both nights we stayed. Overall, we had an amazing stay and none of this bothered us too much.

An enjoyable shiort break well located in a busy holiday venue

The property was spacious and adequate for five people.The owner responded promptly and facilitated early access to deposit luggage which was very helpful.

The parking in Hebden Bridge is dreadful but not the hosts fault. There is one bathroom/ toilet on the third floor- the host advises about this but as we could see provision of additional facility would be difficult and detract from the ‘feel’ of the property.

OK for 3 nights. Needs better preparation for guests to ensure it is clean and everything is working.

Location in town was excellent - lovely walks, shops/cafes etc all nearby.

Property very tired and needs some TLC/updating. Kitchen wasn’t clean with dried food on cutlery, stained tea towels, broken and loose tiles in front of cooker, no working light or extractor over gas hob. Just didn’t feel prepared for our stay. No serving dishes, just plates and dessert bowls. Bathroom very tired with various layers of sealant round the bath showing signs of age/black and loose toilet seat. Cold water tap in bath not working so no shower or bath available (discovered on last day). Drawer in bedroom cupboard broken. Very dusty and generally a bit run down. Pictures on booking.com are not of current condition. On a very busy junction so lots of traffic during the day. Quieter at night but too noisy to open front bedroom windows. Parking is tricky but manageable.

We're already talking about returning to Hebden Bridge and staying at the townhouse.

I booked on behalf of family and everyone was overjoyed when we arrived that they would be staying here for a week. Communication from the owner regarding entry detail was excellent. Also, owner sent an email explaining everything you needed to know about the townhouse. Owner replied immediately to a question and concern we had which was resolved immediately as well. The location was fantastic with easy access to absolutely everything within Hebden Bridge town centre. Plenty of room for the 6 of us and a lounge roomy enough for us to visit. Townhouse was clean and comfortable. We certainly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thanks!

Exceptional

The house was great, quirky and full of character which is right up my street! We were staying in Hebden on a business trip but wished we had booked another couple of days as it is such a lovely place to stay. The house is on the perfect location, backs on to the canal, next to a beautiful park and has lots of little bars and restaurants just over the street. We couldn't have picked a better location and would definitely come back again! Jon the owner was great, helpful and very clear with instructions etc, he even allowed us to stay the following day free of charge as my business ran over a little. I couldn't recommend Skylarks enough and Hebden Bridge is a beautiful little find! Thank you! ✨️ 🌈

Relaxing and comfortable catch up with family

Lovely quirky property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ideally located to explore Hebden Bridge, but not too noisy at night. Lots of information given by the Host.

The only issues was there is one toilet in the top floor bathroom and no parking, but knew all of this on booking and found free parking nearby.

I thought it would be a bijoux cottage given the price ...it was more quirky student level accommodation.with a very poor level of workmanship and finish. It was grubby. Eg paintwork, particularly in the bathroom. . The bedding and tablecloths hadn't been ironed and we're "rubbed up". The beds were small and not very comfortable. The seating in the living room was not very comfortable . The TV was very small. There is only one toilet and shower for potentially 7 people.

The house itself is lovely and cosy. Great central location. Close to shops, pubs, restaurants, buses and train station. Landlord close by should there be any issues.

only issue, as I had kids and teens with me, was the internet dropped out a quite a bit. Which is a world ender for them 🤣🤣

The location was perfect easy walk from station and close to town centre shops bars and restaurants Also good walks nearby the canal and a park The kitchen had everything we needed and we each had our own bedroom I never tired of looking around at all the Knick knacks and pictures around the house and unique hand painted furniture. Our host Jonathon kept in touch to ensure we were ok and had everything we needed also let us leave our bags

The comfort of the beds had mixed reviews mine was fine also pillows could do with replacing A downstairs loo would have been a bonus as house can sleep up to eight bathroom gets busy

Great weekend with friends

The house is wonderful! Fantastic location right in the centre of town. There is a car park next to the property for just 70p per hour. When we arrived the host was there to greet us and they property had been set out beautifully with a full set table. All the bedrooms were well furnished and the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again.

A quirky busy house perfectly placed in the centre of Hebden Bridge. The host Jonathan welcomed us and checked in during our stay to see if all was ok. I felt confident if any issues had arisen (none did) Jonathan would have supported immediately in fixing them.

Beautiful quirky decor. Fantastic central location in Hebden Bridge. Easy walk to shops and bars, and transport. Thoughtful extras provided such as tea, coffee, bread and milk…and biscuits! Plus toiletries too. Comfy beds.

A dishwasher would have been a nice addition.
