Campbell House

We liked location as we were visiting friends half a mile away. The owners were very accommodating as we wanted to check in a bit earlier. A slight hiccup with me trying to use key code on wrong property which was also owned by them. The house was clean overall and smelt really nice. We had problem with one of single bed bases breaking, possibly damaged before, owner offered to replace on the Saturday(we said no), but we ended up putting mattress on floor as my son didn't want to risk other base! Communication was very responsive. We walked from property in to Lincoln town, lots of shops for food within short walk or drive.

Only a few tweaks needed to make it perfect. Front bedroom only had thin curtains and could definitely do with additional blinds for privacy. The lobby entrance could have benefitted from some coat hooks.

Nice clean and modern house. Close to the castle side of Lincoln. Parking included. I would definitely recommend this property.

Beds a bit squishy, shower head needs fixing, no Freeview on TV it's all through firestick

The sofa was comfy. Off Road parking for 2 cars and walking distance to uphill. Enclosed garden is great for dogs.

All comments from previous reviews haven’t been addressed! Had to ring the owner once we got to the house because the code for the key safe wasn’t shared before we arrived. The whole house was dusty and dirty with toothpaste still all over the bathroom sink and walls. The bathroom extractor fan doesn’t work and needs cleaning. The beds were so uncomfortable, not one bed is fit for purpose. There isn’t a double bed, it’s 2 singles put together with the hard frame in the middle. Told the owner about this in person after the first night and messaged about how dirty the house was when we arrived, but we had no response or a resolution over our 4 night stay. Had to sleep on the sofa to get any sleep. The plates and bowls are chipped and not enough. There are no blinds, only very thin curtains. The decor is very basic, no Christmas decorations or tree. The mugs are very cheap, the baking trays, chopping board had all seen better days. There are not enough utensils and crockery to cook a meal. No hoover was provided, we cleaned the dirty fridge and descaled the kettle ourselves. We left the house cleaner and in a much nicer condition than when we arrived. The noise of a digger next door by the owner early morning was unacceptable, our dog wouldn’t settle. No information book and no extra / spare key which would have been useful instead of using the key safe.
