The stairs up to the mezzanine so didn’t stay in that room.

Had a great long weekend with friends

Location was perfect, lots of things to see & do within a short walk, lots of pubs, restaurants, independent shops, house was well kitted out, ideal for 6 people. Owner had good communication, no problems arose during our stay.

Needs more hooks for coats, a grill pan would be good, radiator in loft room didn’t appear to work & the living room radiator didn’t get very hot. Loft room not really good for tall people, a few banged heads, dishwasher didn’t appear to clean very well. Could do with shower head holder

Its location is great walking distance to the castle/Cathederal areas. We used this as a base for visiting Family in Lincoln and Bardney and a wedding.

Although you get a resident permit you can only park in that street and it is over subscribed during the day and even worse after 8pm when it’s a “free for all” and because of its location people park and walk into town I suspect

If you are looking for a well located, stylish place to stay in Lincoln, this is a good bet.

Great location. Nice quiet bedrooms and very well appointed. Nice kitchen and dining room area. Our host provided us with a very helpful folder with useful information about the area, local restaurants and other amenities.

The bathroom at the top of the house was just too small and my friend kept on banging her head on the beams. There was nowhere to put anything near the sink area. There were no palette knives (for spreading butter). There was a rather odd squeky noise from the fridge; we couldn't find the source of the noise.

Extremely pleasant and comfortable.

The location was perfect! Very close and within walking distance to the Lincoln cathedral, castle and the characterful Steep Street. The house was very comfortable, spacious and clean and had very good facilities and appliances. Communication with the owner was excellent and very prompt.

Great location but not clean

The location is excellent, quiet street very close to castle, cathedral, shops, bars, restaurants...

The property was not clean - dirty floors & surfaces were very obvious. Hand rail on stairs was absolutely grimy. All this made me wonder about the cleanliness of other things like the throws & cushions on the beds for example..... Hand held shower in main bathroom splurted water out of pipe, owner said she didn't know about it -so then I wondered if the shower had been cleaned properly...... Niggles - no hooks in bathroom so nowhere to put towels near the shower, & no shelf in shower to put toiletries. Huge cobwebs. We opened the back door as it was very hot weather & it was extremely difficult to lock it again. Generally property was shabby & showed a lack of care & maintenance. Welcome information includes having to charge guests if you take parking permit away and put non recycling in the brown bin - which would sit better if the house was clean as the bare minimum one could expect.

Lovely period house in great location with easy walking access to nearby sites and amenities.

Location great - parking permit for one car a bonus - second car parked in nearby 24 hour car park at a cost of £10. Did not use either car during stay as where we wanted to be was in a short walking distance. Lots of choice nearby for eating and drinking. Ditto Design at 53 Steep Hill well worth a visit.

Coat rack in dining area and hooks on back of bedroom and bathroom doors would have been useful as would a working dishwasher and more small plates and bowls.

Fabulous location. Quiet street. Bright clean decor. Easy check in. Quick replies from host. Flowers in vase were a lovely touch.

Few more coats hooks downstairs and in bathroom would be good. Kitchen tap very wobbly. My mum found the steep stairs a little tricky but it was OK.

Lovely location near the castle and pubs,shops and restaurants.House was clean and warm.

Its short on some basic things like wine glasses for example and the upstairs toilet is not fully fixed to the floor so wobbles when you sit on it which is a bit of a strange feeling if your not used to it.

Lovely house, nice decor, comfortable well appointed rooms. Great location close to the Cathedral and bars and restaurants. Nice quiet residential area . Parking permit a bonus. Host gave us all the information we needed.

Could have done with a few more kitchen essentials (eg bowls for the oven to keep food warm). Smoke alarm went off every time we opened the oven door.

The house didn’t have a very cosy feel.

Location excellent for Cathedral, castle and town centre.

The stairs were very steep, especially the new attic staircase, which does not comply with Building Regulations. We were not allowed to use the wood burning stove. Radiator in the lounge was not working. Oven gloves not supplied. Oven trays in poor condition. No timer to control heating system. One bedside lamp in the back bedroom not working. No rugs or carpets, just bare boards everywhere.

A great weekend and super find, highly recommended.

We liked everything! It was spacious, clean, and well located for the city centre. We parked the car using the parking permit and did t use it again until we had to leave. The host contacted me prior to arriving and after the first day, ensuring everything was ok.

location is excellent, and the house is lovely.

no lights in upstairs bedroom or bathroom apart from bedside lights, made it tricky going up the stairs and using the bathroom at night. Also no mirror in the bathroom.

The property itself is so homely, + being very clean it makes for a very comfortable stay. The property positioning within Lincoln is fantastic, Lincoln castle and cathedral just round the corner, fabulous restaurants, bars just on your doorstep. Great place to stay!
