It was clean
It was inconvenient to get to the room as there was lift. The driveway into the property was difficult to get in and out of. The staff is not onsite which is slightly unhelpful. Parking is an issue.

The location was within walking distance to the event centre. They had a kitchen so we could make coffee and a place to sit while we ate our meal. 2 toilets for our use. Clean and tidy. Perfect for our needs.
There wasn't really anything we didn't like except maybe a sign on the gate with the name on it. We felt safe walking late at night.
Perhaps a hand towel in the bathroom for drying your hands.

Location, price, room, off st parking, lounge room with large smart tv, lots of good food options close by
Shower was blocked so had to keep it very short

BATHROOM: The shower door was broken, no spare rug to dry the floor and no towel to dry your hands with

Good location, and friendly staff! Bed was comfortable, and the room suited me for a night stay. Car park is good to have, and looks a bit scary but is actually fine! Has more of a hostel vibe, but does the trick and has everything you’d need for a night or two!
Some of the common areas were a bit run down or messy. It does seem like maybe there’s two bathrooms, one by the front door (which I wasn’t aware of until I left) and one closer to the rooms. The one closer to the rooms was always busy, and quite messy but the other one seems pretty clean!! Also the walls are thin, but honestly with a fan or some white noise it isn’t too bad! For larger vehicles, just be aware that the driveway is very narrow.

Good, though maybe slightly rough, location. Excellent local cafe (Postal cafe) right next door, plus the Himalayan place. Easy to get in and settle any hours. Peaceful. Good common areas and shared bathroom. Great to have off street parking.
The walls are thin and the bed is quite springy. It's quite hot in the room, though there's a fan and the window opens.
Accessing the parking via the lane between the shops is an epic journey. Very very narrow. Have insurance and nerves of steel if you plan on parking there 😄

Nothing it was horrible the hotel. Worst experience ever
You could heard everything, I wouldn’t call them walls, they were more like a poor divider.
We had half a window and broken. Blind was very poor too.

- location: Grey Linn is a safe and nice neighbourhood. We went on a walk to Ponsonby (only 20min away) on a Thursday night and it was lively with many people getting drinks, ice cream, food… Very nice! I think the cafés during the day would be super nice too!
- room: Comfortable and had everything we needed, nicely decorated, warm too!
- bathrooms: Clean and never occupied!
- late check-out: Staff was nice and let us stay until 1pm.
- took a while to get in: We booked last-minute so we were at the door with our luggage and took its time to send the door code.
- kitchen: I panicked when I first saw the kitchen because we had just bought food to cook (preferably in an oven) and it only had a microwave. Luckily we found an electric hob there after, there’s just one saucepan but we made it work.
- cockroach: There was a cockroach on the kitchen counter at night, but the window was open so it probably flew in.

The house is beautiful and clean, lovely high ceilings and timber floors and walls. A beautiful villa feel. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfy. The shared facilities were impeccable. The location is excellent, close to the city. I will stay again! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly too.
Everything is great I have no suggestions.

Very convenient and comfortable place to stay in Auckland.
Great location, walking distance to Ponsonby and the bus stop just in front.
Well equipped and very clean.
Walls are quite thin

I liked how central this was to the city with the convenience of food outlets, cafes and dairies.
The walls were thin between rooms and the other guests on both the nights I stayed arrived back late and were loud in their conversations with others having a drinking session in the lounge slamming doors to use the bathroom

Good location re buses, travel, shops etc. Owner was very obliging and pleasant with excellent pre-stay communication. Bed was large and comfortable. Shower had good pressure and water heating was great. Premises were well maintained, clean and tidy.
Room was extremely small with no table or chair and too small to fit them anyway. Bathrooms were small also with barely enough room for a tall person to sit on the toilet in a normal fashion. Noise through the old fashioned, un-soundproofed walls was annoying and constant. Parking was off street which was good - but was basically in a public car park and available parks were away from and out of sight of the accommodation - which - given the neighbourhood was a bit worrying.

The place is very close to Eden Park, 30ish min walk.
This is a persons house, with the owner staying in the room off the lounge! Very weird & awkward! We paid premium for our "Rooms" for little comfort, our window did not stay open and it was really hot. As there was 4 bedrooms available, we had a random person in the forth room (poor lady).
For the cost, we would have opted to stay closer to the CBD and taken Public transport. The communication we received at lunch time f(we checked in at 3.00pm), was to inform us about the extremely tight drive way, had we known this before our 4 hour trip to Auckland we would have bought our smaller vehicle.

Michael was incredibly helpful and kind. The location is great—just a 10-minute bus ride to the city center. The neighborhood has some lovely cafés nearby. While most guests stayed for a shorter time, we stayed a bit longer and had no trouble at all. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook.
The beds were a bit on the soft side and may not suit everyone’s preference, and the walls are somewhat thin, so light sleepers might notice noise from neighboring rooms. However, overall, we still had a comfortable stay.

Convenient location to Eden Park. Great shower. Secure access. Friendly property manager.
The partition between our room and next room (3&4) has large gaps around the window and ceiling. Which meant we could hear every sound from our neighbour. Phone movies. Persistent coughing. And a night time of snoring. We did not sleep well, even with ear plugs.

Excellent value for money, great location. Suited me well for a short stay, with excellent convenient public transport links to the city.
Probably signage for the property could be considered. Instructions are given when booking, but whilst I had no major issues finding the place, it could be a little confusing.

Great location, very clean and tidy - good value for money compared to what else was available
The bed was super uncomfortable for two people, it seemed quite old and springy, kept rolling into each other so we didn’t sleep well both nights.

I liked the host. Nice guy. The place was compact, tidy, clean and affordable. The bed was great for me also.
Not much other the availability of decent eating places nearby.

Michael was very helpful carrying my suitcase as I am on crutches and there were a few stairs to climb. The bed was super comfortable. No traffic noise which was great, considering the location of Citirooms. Very tidy and clean shared bathroom and kitchen. Parking available on site however the entry drive although short, is very narrow and would not suit large wide vehicles. My Nissan Note was fine with wing mirrors folded down. The location of Citirooms in Grey Lynn was perfect for my requirements. Very cosy for a romantic stay and excellent value for money.
All was good.

The owner was communicative and helpful, and let us check in at the antisocial hour of 9:30. The price was very good, which is why we chose it in the first place. The location was decently central to the city. If you like decorative teapots, there were a plethora. The shower was OK and the sink was distinctly ample.
Perplexing would be the best word to describe this place. The name insinuates a hotel; the photos indicated a hostel/AirBnB. What it is is a house down a frankly nerve-wracking alley by a yet more nerve-wracking carpark, entrance stuffed with storage items, living room filled with an unsettling collection of teapots. There are four bedrooms, although ours was minuscule and had been made by cutting a reasonable-sized bedroom in half. The bedroom door only stayed shut when locked, and leaked light not just around the edge but between the panels. One of the hooks on the wall for hanging clothes was beginning to rip out of the drywall. The fire escape was a panel in the wall with a sign advising us to kick it out in the event of a fire. This was on the second floor, so I'm genuinely interested to know if there was a set of stairs on the other side, or if we were expected to plummet. They forgot to provide towels, but there was what appeared to be a tea towel on the bathroom floor for a bath mat.
The walls were paper-thin, so there was no privacy. The bed was actually very comfortable, although a few inches shorter than my husband, who's under six feet.
The weirdest thing was the driveway leading to the free off-road parking. It was a little steep alley between two shops and our van could not physically fit down it. We had to park on the road (which was fine).
As a single female traveller I would have found this place disconcerting as hell. Having a husband with me, I risked it, and the door was not kicked down in the night by a mysterious teapot-wielding assassin, so I guess it worked out.
