Miners Cottage in Snowdonia

We arrived at the  miner cottage on Monday. Impression of the property it looked cleaned, tidy and cozy. Had all the essentials necessary needed for the four nights stay, two decent adult sized rooms and one reasonable child sized bedroom with bunk beds. Beds were are all comfortable. It was unbearably hot one fan was provided for one bedroom. Luckily we bought 3 fans of our own. 😊

Negative points: Curtain rail holders needs fixing in the living room it's very loose. Shower pole also loose on the wall. Definitely need a underlying carpet the floor felt like walking on rocks. Back way unsafe to walk on, loose flat slates going all the way down the small slope. Bins were fairly full from previous guest, could do with extra bins. Front door steps not good for people with mobility issue. Would be nice to have an information about the extractor fan button which is outside above the bathroom door. Also information on how to use the electric hob would be nice too. We tried in vain even though it looked similar to the one I have at home, but this particular one just did not want to heat up. But we had no problem using the oven, the hob/oven extractor fan and microwave. Shower tray the water doesn't drain quick enough, unless the plug stopper is removed completely off to let the water drain into the plug hole. Even then shower tray hardly ever drys away the water unless you dry it up with a towel. Maybe worth putting a shower curtain or extended glass extension to avoid the whole floor getting so wet! Microwave, oven, cupboards and sticky living room coffee table needs cleaning. Found the road very busy, might be unsafe for children to cross the road without adult supervision. And parking was absolutely atrocious! You were lucky enough to get a parking space, unless you parked a long way from the property because we hardly ever got parking near the house. Which means having to walk quite a distance to unload and load your baggage which is rather tiring especially on the extremely hot week that we had.😥 Would we return? I very much doubt it after the experience we have had.😒

Property done to a very high standard but you still get the miner cottage vibe.

We went in two couples so single beds in two of the rooms, one being in a bunk was a minor minor inconvenience but something that really didn't change the amazing few days we had.
