It was actually better than I expected for the price I paid for 3 nights it was clean and tidy everything was available that was needed during my short stay They were also a kitchen but I didn't need to use it but I did see others use it. It was also bigger than I expected if I return to Dublin I would stay again

If the bed was better it’d be a good place to stay.
The common area was nice. Bathrooms were clean enough. Location was good to walk to good areas.
The bedsheets were so itchy I could barely sleep. Room was hot.

Interesting premises - Lacks Atmosphere - Requires Re-think on How to Meet Guests Expectations!
The interior of the building premises was clean and freshly painted. I stayed in a new section which had comfy wooden bunk beds beds with fresh bed clothes
No outside Signage - Took me long time to identify hostel address which is unacceptable as previous guests had already said this in Reviews some months ago but clearly nothing was ever done! Why? Get a Temporary Sign up at least! No Toilet paper in either toilet before chk out on 14th Nov which showed a complete lack of consideration towards guests - Most Other Hostels will provide guests with "Free Milk" as part of "Free Tea/Coffee" but NOT offered here which makes no sense whatsoever! I never saw other basics such as a microwave, toasters or cooker - No TV screen in lounge/lobby. WiFi was down for long time on Thurs 13th Nov. Sadly no atmosphere or friendly vibe about this place. Most issues could be easily addressed by owners or senior management if they genuinely want to compare with other Dublin hostels charging similar rates. Location of hostel is not central or near other similar tourist-friendly accommodations. I saw Nobody manning Reception on morning of Check-Out with just a sign on desk about check-in later in the afternoon! I recommend owners & also staff go to visit and stay over at Other Dublin Hostels as this will be of benefit to this hostel if lessons are learned & are then actioned at Dublin Quayside Hostel! I paid €20.70 approx on another night same week at another hostel which is located in Temple Bar and I was able to receive the following extras at No additional cost: Free Tea/Coffee which INCLUDED Free MILK etc; plus Free Continental Breakfast every morning which included orange juice, choice of 2 cereals, toast, butter, marmalade, jams, sliced ham/salami meats, sliced cheese, lettuce leaves, chocolate cake/muffin, selection of fruit (bananas, oranges, apples)There was access to TV, books, maps, guides, tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Same hostel also provided Free face mask & ear plugs at check-in! There was always a sufficient supply of toilets rolls kept in toilets.

Fantastic location, good value for money in a very expensive city
Fantastic café (Cinnamon) just around the corner
6.0 / 10.0
overall good, get what you paid for, did not feel unsafe
the location is great it’s close to buses from airport and to city. tesco is just around the corner and there are restaurants and cafes nearby as well. there was heating in the room
the walls are paper thin, if u want to have a good sleep you probably won’t, the curfew was never enforced, so expect noise.
there is a green light on at all times in the room so bring sleeping mask and earplugs,
also use downstairs showers - there’s more of them and are way cleaner than the upstairs ones.
there’s nothing to put your things at there though, so bring something wet proof (plastic bag to put your things in on the hanger in the shower), or your things will get soaking wet!

Nice stay place but small improvements are needed
The location, the heating in the room, cosy vibe in the room
There wasn't hot water in the bathroom, there was an exit light in the middle of the room which glowed all the night and there was constantly light in the corridor

Awful and not worth the money
Central location, that was the only decent thing about this place.
There's no signage outside. I arrived late with no way to enter since there was no one at the desk. Another guest had to let me in. Bunk beds instead of single advertised. random clothes on bathroom floor. Woman laying on lobby floor.

Good hostel close to city.
Clean rooms, good location, lots of showers.
Small shower cubicles - difficult to keep stuff dry. The next room had a very squeaky door which woke me up multiple times.

Great hostel for a short trip
The localisation was perfect, very secure and many points of interest near by. Staff were lovely and always at your disposal.
We had a problem with our window which was constantly opened and during the winter it is a problem. No compensation or other solution proposed. Just to switch beds to be more close to the heater.

A skinny Central stop
Central, near the metro stop, Tesco and cheap
Bathroom and shower units too skinny
8.0 / 10.0
Friendly bed, good company and amazing staff.
There are single beds rather than bunks and Long stay residents are welcome. It’s quiet at night and there are plugs beside ever bed and lockers to secure personal items. It’s right beside a tram stop and there’s a Costa coffee shop nearby.
The bathrooms and showers are uni sex and a bit cramped. Also It’s a bit cold at night, but the seasons are changing so probably they will deal with that soon

Sleepless night
Staffs and their hospitality. Connected with public transport
Not a vibey and a very average location. So dark and quiet. I want to erase my room experience from my memory. Haven't been in such a smelly room ever. Doesnt even deserve one star. Also could hear rats screeching noise from window side. Afraid anything might jump in the window.

Great value for money!
Very central location. Clean, comfortable hostel. We were a group of 3 friends and booked a mixed dorm room. We very lucky and got a separate room with 3 beds!
The only little downside is the room overlooking the main road - amazing views over the river, but traffic noise with the window open in the summer :) Still, not a big problem.

We had a great time in dublin and the location of the hostel is very good, but please install an elevator and put a sign
Good location
No elevator??? Dirty bathrooms.

noisy street, not bad for 1 night
location, check-in, kind receptionist, bed.
the room was facing the street and was very noisy, so i couldn't sleep. this didn't bother the other room mates. hygiene could be improved.

Not bad.
Great staff, nice vibe, people are friendly. Great location.
Not that clean but OK. You won't have access to the kitchen unless you stay for more than one week which is odd. Beds aren't that comfy. Some of the showers are clogged and water builds up especially the ones upstairs. Regular service is required indeed. I find increasing the prices on the weekend is unfair as it is already expensive for a hostel (I know Dublin is an expensive city but still ...)

Better to avoid this hostel
Nothing
Here is the list:
1. There’s no signboard outside indicating that it’s a hostel.
2. No lift — we had to climb stairs while carrying luggage.
3. The room was congested and suffocating, with no fan or ventilation.
4. Lockers had no locks, making them unsafe.
5. Mixed dormitory with drunk men — unsafe for women.

Great
on the lake just 10 minute walk from centre ( temple bar) secure location, good shared facilities (2 showers 8 toilets ) and big reception area with lounge area
hard to find which door to go in to access property

I would not stay there again
The room was cozy and clean. Nice beds and comfy mattresses. The temperature in the room was perfect. Nice receptionist
Too many rooms and just a few toilets. In order to get to the bathroom you have to run 2 floors down.

The staff was nice and the other guests were very friendly.
The location of his hostel is amazing and it is a great deal.
It is a little noisy outside but that is to be expected in a big city.

DO NOT COME
The common areas were clean and tidy.
However, the listing was misleading. The photos on the booking page showed four single beds, but upon arrival, I found that the host had deliberately flipped the image to entice bookings—the actual setup was bunk beds, and there were no curtains, so privacy was poor.
The front desk staff had an attitude like you owed them a huge debt. They were unhelpful and unwilling to resolve any issues.
What’s worse, the top bunk had no power outlets, so unless you had an unusually long charging cable, you could barely use the socket from the bottom bunk. For an 8-person dorm, only four lockers were provided, which I found unreasonable—arriving later than others basically meant not having your own locker.
The bathroom design was also poorly thought out: one shower room was split into two shower spaces, yet there was no place to hang clothes.
Ironically, the only thing that made me feel slightly better about this hostel was the cleaning staff—the guy and girl doing the cleaning were far more professional and dedicated than the people at the front desk.

Dublin is amazing and this is a very good budget option!
Lots of space in the communal areas
Efficient showers and clean bathroom
Easy check-in and check-out
Separate bathrooms for male & female
Room was too hot - windows didn't open enough
For a dorm bed it was quite expensive

Excellent reception staff
No towel available to take shower.

Decent stay for a night or 2.
The rooms were clean and the beds were decent. Not overcrowded. Convenience store nearby. Lovely staff.
No blackout curtains so without a mask and earplugs you will wake up at 5am.
No seating in the showers, nowhere to keep your clothes dry. No bathroom on top floor.

I do not recommend for young solo travelers.
It was very hard to find, there is no signage and no directions provided. The hostel overall felt very uncomfortable and not safe.
4.0 / 10.0
Only the reception experience was positive — the rest was disappointing.
The reception staff was very polite and welcoming.
Very hard to find the place — there's no sign or indication, as if it were hidden.
Wi-Fi was not working.
The room I was given looked like a prison cell, with just a small window on the ceiling.
No signs in the hallways reminding guests to be quiet during critical hours, so there was a lot of noise at night and early morning.
I wouldn't stay here again.
Bathrooms were dirty, even though the rest of the common areas were clean.

Thanks for the great hospitality!!
First of all, all the staffs at this hostel are so kind and helpful all the time I was really comfortable with them during my stay. And in my room, three all bed are individual so that I was able to sleep as relaxing. And there are three different shower rooms, we don’t have to wait someone finish, at least there are vacant one way or the others.
One of my roommate, he’s from Somalia, I don’t judge people by nationality at all but he’s really selfish and hard to share a place with people, always complain and force us what he need and he never take our request at all. I mean I wasn’t lucky enough to be with him during my stay. There might be many complains about him, at least people around me were so uncomfortable by him so we wanted to make some acts to him by the hostel…
And two things about hostel that kitchen doesn’t have proper knife and cutting board so that hard to cook something properly. There are three shower places but two of them on second floor can’t supply warm and hot enough water supply. That’s it

Overall, for a last minute one night stay, it was fine.
Appreciated them accomodating my last minute reservation. Location was good. Dublin is a pretty walkable city so anything is within a fair distance. Room was pretty bare bones but clean and secure.
Facilities could have been cleaner. No clear marking on enterance identifying that this place was indeed the hostel. Just an unassuming door. Walls are thin so it was a bit noisy.
