Everything was perfect: compact and well-cleaned double bedroom, sufficient breakfast, and amiable reception. But most of all, cheers to kind employees: my phone screen went black on the last three days of my visit to Dublin, but the receptionist working from the check-in hour(15:00) to dinner time would calm me, informing that I would be able to take my plane without QR code or printed ticket as long as I have my passport and that airport coaches accept payment via credit card at the bus stop. She also allowed me to make international phone calls to my family at the reception desk (of course, everything was done according to the hotel’s policy). In short, I would definitely recommend this hotel for first-time visitors to Dublin: the employees are willing to help out guests as much as possible within their authority.

Everything was perfect: kind receptionist, nice breakfast, and compact yet all-in-one double bedroom. But most of all, I would like to give my sincere appreciation to the receptionist working somewhere between the check-in time(15:00) and dinner time. On the last three days of my trip to Dublin, my phone screen blacked out, so I was desperate to retrieve my plane ticket and airport coach ticket. The receptionist was kind enough to calm me down and tell me that as long as I have already checked in for the flight, there would be no problem and that the airport coach will accept payment in credit card before boarding. She also allowed me to make international phone calls back to my family to notify my situation (of course, everything was done under the hotel’s internal policy). So I would definitely recommend this hotel to first-time Dublin visitors: employees here sincerely care about you, and they are willing to help you out within their legal boundaries as much as possible.

I have stayed in small European rooms before but this room was SMALL. By the time 2 poople and the luggage is opened there is no room to move. Only plus was that this location is2 blocks from the river

The room was interesting, we booked an accessible room which we found out after checking in meant it was a handicapped room. We tried to change rooms but they were fully booked which worked to our advantage because our daughter got a regular room and there is no way 2 people would be comfortable in it. Our bathroom was huge which was a plus but fully open with all the handicap amenities so you took a shower and everything got wet. The bed was not huge but comfortable though there was nothing else to really relax on. The rooms overall are not large so there was not much room to spread out our suitcases. What we wish they offered was an included breakfast or at lease have coffee and tea available for free. You had to pay extra for everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful and there were restaurants in the area within walking distance.

Rooms were very small (dorm room size) so not ideal for more than 1 person per room. No place to put suitcase and not enough spots to unpack clothes. It is ideal for a 1 night stay but not for multiple. You hear everything in the halls, people walking by talking loudly and people in the neighboring rooms (dropping things, talking, TVs). Close to Jameson Distillery and some restaurants but that’s pretty much it. If you can, splurge on a better hotel located around more things in the city.

The rooms are very, very small, perhaps 7' x 15'. Apparently all the hotel rooms in this hotel are that same size. We were able to walk to almost everything. Parking was offsight but not an inconvenience. The bar area was welcoming as was the staff.

We only stayed one night at this location, it was centrally located to our site seeing destinations and to food, also had an onsite pub and separate restaurant, food looked amazing. Appreciated the staff when we had questions, they were very helpful, and breakfast was amazing! Definitely recommend this hotel!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were a bit smaller than expected but still nice and clean. Bartenders in the bar were friendly and helpful. All staff were helpful. Conveniently located just a few blocks from the LUAS and Jameson Distillery. I would stay here again.

I liked how clean the building was. The lobby was setup with a nice breakfast buffet every morning and had lots of open space to relax while preparing to go out on our daily journeys. The rooms was relatively small as expected but that didn't cause any issues as I was not sharing it with anyone and did not spend much time in there except when sleeping.

For the price I paid I did expect a lot more, pretty basic and tiny bedrooms if I am honest, that isn’t to say that the staff weren’t efficient or bad and quite the opposite, probably due to the Oasis Dublin weekend , probably in real term was worth half the price I had paid due to it being on the edge of Dublin and a good 15 minutes walk to the centre. Overall clean and tidy but basic and a bit of a hike to the heart of the city,would probably look for a better class hotel next time and more central.

The Hendrick Smithfield is a really funky and fun hotel just outside of Dublin Centre. We loved the staff: they were incredibly friendly and helpful and really made our time there enjoyable. The lobby bar is really fun and social. Things to be aware of before booking: the hotel is in the Smithfield area and it is a good 20 minute walk to Temple bar, Guinness, and most of the other popular attractions. That being said, the Smithfield area itself is really cool and artsy and much less jam packed with tourists. Bonus: only a quick five minute walk to Jameson’s! I really loved the area, but we didn’t always really enjoy the long walks into the centre of Dublin. Another thing to note: we had a twin room and it was TINY. The smallest room by far that I’ve ever stayed in, and consequently, it wasn’t overly pleasant at times, but he bed was incredibly comfortable. The facilities in the room were also quite bleak: it felt very much like a dorm room. None of that would have phased me too much, but it was also, by far, the most expensive hotel room we stayed in in Ireland, and that part isn’t sitting right with me still: for me, the value was not there. Overall however, as long as you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into there are many great things about this place and it’s definitely worth a try if you want something off the beaten path.

The staff were nice but the hotel room was extremely small and hard to navigate. It also wasn’t soundproofed so it was quite loud from the hallways. Early check in for $20 euro seemed like a cash grab. Wouldn’t stay here again.

It was an ok property, but geared more to students or young couples. I found the room way too small. You should also provide or have available general information on amenities in area. Ie .. laundry , pharmacy etc. I required both and had to go on street to ask. Just little things like that makes a hige difference

Nice funky Hotel double bed in rather strange position quite impractical for two people as one would have to climb over the other to get out during the night for example did not like the area a lot of down and outs around - I did not feel safe by myself at night

Room was super small and no place for luggage, bed was surrounded by 3 walls so no option but to climb over partner to leave the bed. Surrounding area was dirty and had to walk far for good restaurants. Plus side it's close to Jamison distillery.
