I accidentally made a booking at midnight. As soon as I realized it, I received a notification on my smartwatch, so I immediately called the hotel and informed them, then also contacted Agoda right away. The staff on duty told me to call back in the morning to speak with the manager, saying a refund could be arranged. Next morning (Sunday), I called the manager and was told to contact again on a weekday, as the reservations team would handle the refund. I followed their advice and called again on the next working day — they said they would check and get back to me. When I called once more, they suddenly said they could not refund because they had not received any email from Agoda. After I followed up with Agoda and went back to the hotel, their answer changed again: they claimed the booking was non-refundable and that I had agreed to the terms. The truth is: I entered details, saw the price was very high, and at midnight decided not to proceed. I put my phone away, but the payment went through automatically without my final confirmation. This was the only money I had at that moment. I acted instantly — calling both hotel and Agoda within minutes. The biggest issue is the misleading information given by their staff from the start. If they had clearly told me straight away that the booking was non-refundable and would be marked as “no-show” if I didn’t arrive, I would have made a different decision — either stayed or found another solution. Instead, they kept telling me to wait and follow up, which wasted 4–5 days of my time and caused unnecessary stress. In the end, they marked it as “no-show” and refused any refund, blaming me entirely and denying that their staff gave incorrect guidance. I feel cheated and let down. This experience has been emotionally stressful and a complete waste of money. I am raising this with higher authorities so that other guests do not face the same confusion, wrong advice, and financial loss. Not recommended — poor communication and lack of accountability.

I felt I was like the first person ever using my room. It was CLEAN. The only give away was dust on top of the light fitting but that is extreme pickiness 😂 Price was a little high but I guess you don’t get much choice when coming to Dublin as it is such a popular destination.
