Awful service

Nice rooms

Very disappointing experience, especially the way we were treated by staff. We ordered food in the restaurant and it was not up to standard at all. The chicken wings were extremely dry with barely any sauce, and the pizza arrived cold with an excessive amount of sauce that also didn’t seem fully cooked. We barely ate the food. When the waiter asked why we hadn’t eaten much, we calmly explained the issues. Instead of handling this professionally, the chef and the night manager came over and told us that everyone eats this food and never has a problem, implying that the issue was with us rather than the food. Their tone was rude and angry, and the interaction made us feel very uncomfortable. Mistakes can happen, but how they are handled makes all the difference. Being spoken to in such a dismissive and confrontational way was unacceptable and completely ruined the experience. We will not be returning and would not recommend dining here.

Improvement needed

The breakfast was good with a nice selection and good quality...however the cooked breakfast was cold which ruined it.The location is fab for guiness tour...20 mins walk and jameson tour literally across the road.The photo is the view from our room.

Maid didn't clean our room.So we were left without any toilet roll..milk..tea or water we were accused of not leaving the sign on the door !!!My husband ripped his coat in the lift on pot rivet holes where a sign had been removed we informed reception but they were not interested.Breakfast was cold.

The structure is old, the bathroom is whiteout any comfort or kit as a 4 stars should have , the carpet everywhere had a bad smell.

Restaurant needs help and heat issues

Nice big room. Front desk staff incredibly helpful

Had to move rooms due to no heat. 2nd room no warmer so needed a portable heater. Unable to regulate iwn heat. Only comes on certain times of the day. We were cold on the off times Restaurant staff never seemed to have it together. Very unorganized. Food just ok. Unable to dial room to room and front desk wouldn't connect me

Big room. Nice breakfast.

Not overly clean. We had a balcony and the windows were very dirty. Hair left in bathroom from previous guest. No lights in wardrobe area. Poor pressure on shower. Noisy guests coming back late slamming doors and loud.

Very poor .. breakfast disgusting cold minimal choice filthy surrounding areas … no toilet rolls .. poor room service basically never came! A generally good experience spoilt by some unfortunate episodes, not the fault of the staff.

I was moved to a room on another floor after being kept awake all night by noisy guests in neighbouring rooms.

The fire alarms going off on two separate nights, fortunately both false alarms.

Try sitting down to have to take a shower DISASTER. I have stayed many times in the Maldron Chain

When I went to shower the Shower Head was at my shoulder height in the Bath, Having paid €275 for the room, it did not have a shaving mirror and when I went to make a cup of Tea there was no Pepperment tea available.

Location was okay, but not great.

There was no air conditioning which is okay, as long as you disclose that on your marketing materials. WAY too uncomfortable during the summer. Never would have booked here without air conditioning

Home away from home

We absolutely loved the location. 20 minute walk to the centre of Dublin. Great vibe. There is a supermarket right next door to the property. And the receptionists working the front desk were fab, great energy, very friendly, very helpful.

Lack of air on in the room and fan not working in the bathroom. Shower heads require a thorough cleaning as the build up of limescale was apparent from a distance. Under the beds could be hovered once per week at least. But all in all aside from those minors fab stay

Property was very clean, beds very comfortable , location was great

The staff member was rude not welcoming and after check in we went out to the local pubs on return he was reluctant to leave us back in I give details of which room we were in which was 420… he then said we don’t have a 420… checked computer and rather than apologising he argued further give us a new room cards which was not necessary and took some time … we then were allowed back to our room but that experience was awful he was rude and patronising

2 day break in Dublin with family

Triple deluxe room: Very comfortable beds... Plenty hot water for showers every morning breakfast was fine could do with a little more attention on the hot food buffet...staff were very nice and helpful really enjoyed our stay. lots of restaurants and bars near by and supermarket The Luas 🚊 was only 2 mins walk away also great location over all

They gave us a disabled room …which we didn’t want then the night porter knocked on our door at 4am to tell us to keep the noise down…we were only talking No sound proofing in the room We should not have been given a disabled rom & the maid service was terrible

No air conditioning in hotel

The room was very spacious for my family of 3 with a double bed and a single bed. Washroom was also spacious and clean. It's just a 5 mins walk from River Liffey and approximately 20 min walk to O connell street and other attractions. There are also cafes and supermarkets nearby for our convenience. The staff were friendly and gladly obliged to put requests like sending up an additional desk fan for the room.

The whole hotel is not air conditioned. While there is a light breeze at night, in the day, it can get quite hot and stuffy in the room. That being said, when the temp drops at night, with the window open and fans in our room, the sleep was still considerably comfortable. Would highly recommend choosing another hotel with air con if you are one to feel hot easily.

Overall disappointing, unlikely to return

Hotel was located in a convenient spot

We booked this hotel because of the “Deluxe” quadruple room and looked perfect for our needs. Upon arrival we were informed of a €150 deposit that was needed for paying in cash - something we were not informed prior to arriving nor any explanation as to why this was. When we got to the room, it appeared to be a lot smaller than, and didn’t have the same facilities as, the room depicted online at the time of booking. Temperature in the room was almost unbearable with only one small window to open and one fan in a family room. We weren’t once asked about our stay at the hotel when checking out and just thanked for handing back the key cards.

The over head shower was broken and maintenance never came as we were told. The bathroom could have done with a bit of a deeper clean around the shower but apart from that really enjoyed!

Good location - good staff - good food - room for the money really should have had air conditioning.

Staff and breakfast very good. Easy to walk to the city centre and Guinness factory, St Stephens Green and Phoenix Park.

Weather was really warm. We paid 600 euro per night (family of 4 in one room), and we had no air conditioning. We had to sleep with the door on to the balcony open and it was noisy outside.
