The decor was lovely and everything was very clean and well kept. The owners were very kind and accommodating - even offering a free pint on arrival! The bar had a wonderful vibe and was kept spotless.

The staff are all fantastic. Very clean. Nice shower/bathroom. Fairly quiet. Nice towels. The Coddle from the restaurant was good.

The bed was really noisy and too short/small. Two of us did fit but it was tight. The fridge holds two cans of beer, no more. Sparse and tight.

Great value stay in Dublin. We could free park our car overnight (on a Sunday) nearby.

Handy location for Dublin and great value for money. Friendly check-in, felt very personal. We did have to pre-arrange a set time for check-in as the bistro was closed over the christmas period.

It is close to the tram line/bars which didn't bother us but there is some noise overnight to note if this is something that really bothers you.

Dublins wee gem of a place

This has to be one of Dublins wee Gems. Location is great. No parking but there is a multi storey a few mins away. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. You get a free pint, the Guinness is good. Had the dinner there. Would recommend the coddle. It’s a good soakage meal and very tasty. Staff are amazing and it has that family run feel to it. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

A fantastic stay in the heart of Dublin

Big thanks to Paul and Dave - really welcoming, free drink on arrival. Staff are super friendly, recommended good places to visit. The bar is great, cosy and the room was really good value. Location is fantastic - walking distance from all the main attractions and right next to the tram stop. An absolute gem in the heart of Dublin. Had much more character than a standard hotel.

It can be a tad noisy outside during the evenings, but nothing too bad.

We booked a double bed room and were put in the Oliver room with a small mattress in a tiny room with barely enough room for our luggage (2 suitcases and 2 backpacks). I don't think the same price should be charged for the Oliver room as the other double bed rooms.

Great location in Dublin

Super easy to get to, and to find. Very central. Walkable to Temple Bar and other main sites. We were greeted by the loveliest men in the bar downstairs who checked us in and directed to our room. Appreciated the free drink in the bar as well. Cute decor.

The room was incredibly hot. This was in November as well, I couldn’t imagine staying in Summer. I wasn’t able to sleep much at all the first night due to the heat in the room. On the second night I had the fan blasting directly on me, and slept with only a sheet so finally got some sleep.

Perfect for us

Amazing location, very friendly staff and clean. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Loved staying here, would recommend! Staff offered us a free welcome drink but we unfortunately didn’t take them up on it because we we arrived later than expected and had a restaurant booking. The pub downstairs was quite loud so I could see how that could be a problem for some people but me and my friend weren’t bothered by it at all.

Beautiful room, charming staff and unbeatable location.

The Townhouse is beautiful and charming, and Paul and the other staff were all extremely friendly and helpful! Especially considerate with our arrival time (coming in from Canada, Paul opened the place early so we could leave our bags and get situated before official check-in time.)

Honestly everything was 9/10, only reason for the mission point is the train outside is pretty loud and runs all night. But we got used to it! Just not something I was expecting.

Fantastic stay!

Great find! Location is perfect, within a short walk to Stoneybatter and the centre of Dublin. All the staff were welcoming, accommodating and helpful! The room was comfortable, and as described. Would definitely come back.

It can be a little noisy with traffic, but can’t be helped - if you close the window and have the fan on then it is no bother at all.

An absolute gem of a find! Paul couldn’t have been more helpful before and during our stay - what an asset to your team. The staff (Paul and Dave) were welcoming, helpful, the rooms we had (Annie & Barney) were perfect! Clean, all the amenities you’d require for a weekend. The hotel was handy to the city centre. Would definitely return.

Fabulous find in an excellent location

What a fabulous find. In a beautiful quiet location within walking distance of the shops and pubs. Paul greeted us on arrival and was so welcoming . Showed us around and to our room. Which was fabulous with an ample double bed and a fan to keep us cool.

Weekend stay

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Easily the best thing about the hotel, and the breakfast was really good. Nice little rooms, but no hangers in the wardrobe to use. Very clean, throughout and the bathroom was nice.

Beds are hard and noisy, when you turn over in the night it wakes the other person up. Rooms are far too hot, open a window and the street is too noisy to sleep, close it and the heat is suffocating, even with the portable Aircon unit on. The hotel is open 7 nights a week, but the bar/restaurant is closed from 4pm Sunday afternoon until Wednesday morning, so can't get a breakfast on a Monday or Tuesday. Not something that I was made aware of until after we checked in. Not a bad location if you don't mind walking. About 20 minutes or so walk to Temple Bar.

Beautifully decorated. Easy enough to get to main attractions of Dublin. Airport bus close by so my 4am transfer wasn't a problem. Needed my toilet fixed while I was there and Paul was wonderfully responsive.

Room did get warm in July so thankful there was an upright fan to put in the window. Breakfast would have been nice at this price point.

Far too hot. Air conditioning unit did not work, it circulated hot air. No air circulation, not enough water to drink. The most uncomfortable nights sleep I have had in a very long time.
