Rooms were great the bed was so comfortable! First full nights sleep since I started traveling! Amenities … free bus passes… we went to St Gilgen and St Wolfgang for free! Excellent! Oh and location is perfect. Could be better!

This hotel is only a few steps away from the old town. Its rooftop terrace, for breakfast or evening bar, is without rivals in Salzburg. The only drawback is that its rooftop is so good that lots of non-residents would come for breakfast so the waiters may occasionally overwhelmed. All three staff at the reception were friendly and helpful.

Location and hotel facilities are good, the staff was not particularly hospitable. We were asked to remove our car from the hotel's own parking lot even though there were many vacancies Spaces… have to park the car in a public parking lot far away from the hotel… In our suite on the 4th floor there was a maximum of 2 meters to the ceiling. We won't be back next time we go to Salzburg.

This is my go to hotel when I travel to Salzburg. The rooms are fantastic. The staff is superior and the rooftop bar is not to be missed. The views of Salzburg at night are absolutely stunning, but bear in mind. You will need to have patience as there are no reservations it’s first come first serve and normally packed. The only complaint that I have is that my room lack of coffee maker but then again I also booked the cheapest room possible.

Great location. Rooftop terrace is lovely but the food options aren’t great and the staff are overrun. You’d also expect them to prioritise their hotel guests - they definitely don’t. Staff were lovely though. Our room view was awful - a wall. Choose the room carefully.

The Stein is an amazing hotel. The staff were fantastic, the check-in couldnt have been easier. Rooms are excellent and have everything you'll need. Its location is just about perfect, putting it in walking distance of all the major attractions. There are 3 parking bays right outside the hotel to use whilst you unload your vehicle. The actual hotel car park is some 600 metres away.

Excellent property great location. Only issue is how they list the property. They list both laundry service which is common. But also lost list laundry facilities. Every 4 to 5 star hotel in Europe that lists laundry facilities usually means they have self service laundry. They mis listed that amenity. They didn’t have it so we had to uber to laundry mat waste 2 hours of sightseeing and missing some sights. There were no apologies from the staff.

We were on the salzrach river across from old town Salzburg. The hotel was luxurious, the staff professional and helpful, and the room was quiet and spacious. We were never farther than a 10-15 minute walk from the places we wanted to go.

Visited Salzburg for the first time in December. The hotel is in an ideal location to walk around and see the sites. The hotel is older but maintained well. The room was a bit small, but considered normal by European standards. We had medium suitcases to maneuver around. The brunch was very good!
