The only negative about our stay, was it was only one night! The room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom and a view of the canal out front. Breakfast was excellent, and had something for everyone. The patio out front, and the garden out back were gorgeous! The dock out front meant we could conveniently catch our boat taxi literally outside the front door. Location was quiet, but near sites, restaurants and bars, and gelato! A 15 minute walk took us to St. Mark’s square. But the best thing? The staff! They saw us rolling our suitcases across the front courtyard, and ran outside to take them from us! We were way ahead of check-in time, and the staff were kind enough to store our bags. When we returned from our day, our bags were already in our room. After a long day of travel from the US, it was so nice to be so well taken care of!

My mum and I had a lovely stay. The hotel was excellently located to explore Venice easily. The hotel staff were all very friendly, and the view from our room overlooking the canal was beautiful.

The location of the Pensione Accademia cannot be faulted, being close to the Accademia Gallery and vaparreto stop. It’s also within walking distance of several Venetian attractions. This was my third stay here. The service seemed less friendly than on previous visits. Reception staff were invariably grumpy. On the plus side they did arrange a breakfast basket for my early morning departure.

A great place for us to stay while visiting Venice. We took the Vaporetta from the train station to the hotel. Once there, we were shown to a lovely room with the view of a narrower canal and the hotel garden. The location was very convenient. An easy walk to the Doge’s Palace, Guggenheim Museum, and Rialto Bridge. The people were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were ideal. This was really an ideal place to stay in Venice!

Room large, comfortable and quiet. Staff always friendly and helpful. An excellent breakfast was served. There are lots of restaurants, pastry shops and cichetti bars nearby. There is no lift in the hotel but staff can carry your luggage. A water taxi from the airport is handy and it stops directly in front of hotel.

We loved our stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The location is amazing with the canal views and the lovely gardens at the front and back. Breakfast is very good with many and varied choices. The room was spacious and comfortable. The path outside the hotel is quiet but it only takes a few minutes to walk to Piazza San Marco. The private gate onto the canal for where water taxis stop is a lovely extra!

Charming and elegant off the noisy tourist track area. Rooms were large and well appointed. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was abundant and delicious and the staff there helpful as well. Water taxi drop right outside. Walkable to 'touristy' areas/shopping but away from the hustle in the evenings. Found nice restaurants tucked away in the side streets. The hotel bar looked fun but I didn't partake. You may have to walk a ways and up steps to get to your room but worth it. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed this place! The decor is very attractive and there are beautiful outdoor areas to enjoy. Great staff and convenient location. There was a very nice breakfast buffet, although I would skip their lunch menu. Lots of nice dining options nearby. The rooms were comfortable and toiletries are provided. No elevator, so you need to be good with stairs

The property is beautiful and the location is very quiet . He gardens are beautiful as there is a breakfast patio . They serve a breakfast every morning and it was very good . The staff is very helpful with all your questions and are very professional and willing to help . The room was very comfortable . We had a room on the canal side and we could open the windows for the scenery which was very nice . I only have two complaints . I do hope the owners listen and make a very small change that make a big difference in the quality of sleep for all your guests . The pillows at this property are the worst . They are very flat and the property only provides you with two . For such a nice property they really need better pillows to insure guest a good nights sleep. The blow dryer also needs to be upgraded to a better quality . The one available is the cheapest you can buy, if your a woman with hair that needs to be styled this gets the job done but not with quality styling . My husband and I had a wonderful stay in your hotel and I would recommend your property to my friends . We stayed here for three nights and it was lovely .

This hotel is perfect - away from the activity of St. Marks Square. Took us about 15 minutes to walk over. Close to Ponte dell'Accademia. Beautiful gardens, wonderful breakfast, sitting rooms. Our bedroom was so comfortable and overlooked the little canals with a glimpse of the Grand Canal. Highly recommend

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I had not told them in advance that three flights of stairs without an elevator would be a problem. Although they were full they went to enormous lengths to change my room. Everything was good ... location, breakfast, garden, bar and location with partial vew of nearby Grand Canal.

The old palace offers many places to sit inside and outside. You're not simply confined to your room and a busy lobby. I wanted something with an old Venetian feeling and this certainly provided that. I loved the view of a minor canal from our window that led to the Grand Canal. Just so readers know, the Grand Canal is noisy. The pensione was calm. Amazingly, they had two garden, front and back and all landscaping was carefully tended. The breakfasts on the terrace were gracious and all staff were extremely cordial, Amazing feeling of being off the beaten path while actually being centrally located. You feel brought back to the times when the Russian Aristocracy stayed here.

The Pensione Accademia- Venice is a beautiful property. Hotel staff were very welcoming and so helpful. Our room was beautifully and thoughtfully appointed, large, overlooking the canal side. Hotel breakfast service was amazing. The hotel bar offered great drinks and light bites. Private taxi boat from the airport dropped us on the hotel dock and promptly picked us up at the hotel for return to the airport. Easy walking distance to major sites, like Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs. Hotel is steps from the Grand Canal. Very clean, no unpleasant smells from the canal and no mosquitoes to note. Will 100% stay there again. Great visit!

Pensione Accademia is a rare find—set in a beautiful historical building with lush front and back gardens, which is quite unique for Venice. It’s quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to the Accademia vaporetto stop. Rooms are spacious and the air conditioning works well, though the shower doors could use an upgrade.
