Everything about this hotel is gorgeous. The location within the palace and having breakfast and an evening drink outside was an atmostpheric highpoint. Perfectly located, obviously and we found it with no trouble, although they do offer a porter to guide us there from the taxi drop-off. Service first class.
Breakfast was fresh continental style served on a tiered platter at the table, but with plenty of hot options available for order. The Frittata was great, as were the Eggs Benedict.
The Superior double room was smaller than we expected and we understand there are larger rooms of the same category available but with less historic details - but there was enough space and with a large bathroom. We hope to visit again.

We had a fantastic couple of nights at Villa Dobric from 2-4 Aug. Ivan and Kate were both absolutely wonderful hosts - full of helpful tips and info - they honestly couldn’t have been more helpful and were a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was very relaxed and just right - we were extremely grateful that gluten free bread options were provided.
Our two mezzanine rooms, on the top floor, suited us really well as a family of four with older teenage girls who were happy to have their own space.
Overall, a brilliant base to explore from, right in the heart of the old town.
Also, many thanks to the hotel for accommodating our request to leave our bags for a few hours, a week after our stay, while we travelled back through Split from Hvar en route to the airport.
