Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa

No sky tv or indeed any tv downstairs in the foyer! Never known this before in hotels.

Stay are incredible. Ewelina on reception provided the most friendly and efficient welcome I’ve ever received at any hotel - was an amazing member of your team. Ash in the bar was also a delight too

I did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food. The hotel rooms are very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The linen is fresh and good pillows on the bed. Decent pool, sauna and steam room with a large jacuzzi that could fit around 8 people comfortably. Great view of the small harbour in front of the hotel and out over the city to the left. Plenty of parking to the rear and the city centre is only a few minutes walk away. Great hotel for business or pleasure and a friendly, welcoming team working there.

Viki at check-in was delightful and very efficient. Food at breakfast was beautiful and plentiful, Beck and James were very polite and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, hopefully for longer next time.

It had been roughly 10 years since my last stay, hotel still in very good condition, room was spotlessly clean especially the bathroom, quiet location, comfortable bed, nice powerful shower, restaurant beautiful, lovely staff, nice food.

Room noisy ( traffic ), despite having asked for a quieter room. Window area cold / draughty due to metal window frames and only double glazing. Security a big issue and ignored by staff, when mentioned. Area is very busy with traffic and noisy . Pool area was rather busy at times and water could do with being warmer ( than the 28c ). Spa area often overcrowded Steam room often stale smells ( not sufficient essential oils used) Security issues with spa key At the entrance often people smoking ( making it very unpleasant for non smokers ). Additional room curtains be useful for privacy

Spotless room with no noise and a great nights sleep

Room was very nice and very comfortable. Bar prices were extortionate. Breakfast average at best. Being charged for parking is just daylight robbery.

We stayed for 3 nights and the room was cleaned every day .. the breakfast was amazing with so much choice .. we had a lovely view of the city quay

Room very clean The lady who delivered my room service breakfast on the morning of the 8th was absolutely lovely, I don't know her name unfortunately but I was in room 215

I was welcomed by Lucy on reception who was friendly and efficient check in very quick,room very well prepared by Gillian ,much appreciated had fish and chips in the restaurant great .look forward to my next stay thanks to all the staff.Michal Whitehouse

Amazing staff

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. A few stains on the carpet and grouting in shower needs cleaned otherwise very clean. Good facilities and the spa was excellent!

Most of the staff are friendly and courteous Items to be improved: -Hocks in the room to hang wet/ damp jackets/ coats - hock in bathroom beside sink to hang hand towel - fit soft close toilet lid ( was very surprised by the low quality toilet) - provide recycling bin in the corridor/ entrance hall - ensure steady spa pool temperature ( last day the temperature was around 3 degrees lower than the previous days) - ensure that the locks on the spa lockers are working and safe ( already spoken to spa manager about this) - beside table with a drawer for essentials like charging cables etc be more useful than the ones provided - providing an additional chair ( considering rooms aimed for 2 people) - get the air conditioning system serviced ( the fan was very noisy) - consider upgrading the windows ( we were on the 1st floor and even with the window closed it was still rather noisy ) - consider having the swimming pool 1-2 degrees warmer ( I wasn’t the only person finding it fairly cold) - bar staff could do with being better informed on what is on offer and more polite and understanding

I love this hotel walking distance from main shops just sits out the way of the main drag. Excellent views of city and river. Good parking. Pool and spa very well maintained

Very good fast and efficient check in Ewelina who was on reception was friendly and helpful ,allowing me to occupy my room early,room clean and well presented the quality of sheets and pillows great.Enjoyed my meal in the evening ,the staff attentive friendly ,nothing to much trouble .Will be back soon after another comfertable and enyoyable stay

Breakfast was good never used the bar

The only issue I had was the Jacuzzi the spa did not seem to work and there was no notice of this - and no one to ask about it - Otherwise the hotel is great and very comfortable - spa is quite small and there was a number o people using it.

Room very clean, comfy and warm. Curtains slightly stained in places could do with a wash. But overall the room was perfect, very good value for money especially having a separate bath to shower.

Lovely clean spacious room and friendly staff

The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a bath and separate shower. The room was tastefully decorated and spotless. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The hotel reception, restaurant area and spa were all tastefully decorated and light. But the best part of our stay were the staff who were all extremely friendly, helpful and professional.
