Overall I found the hostel experience good especially the kitchen, bathroom and common areas. It was comfortable overall,.
The bedroom was ok but I personally did not find the bunk beds as good.

Attention and care from the staff. Room was warm, bed linen- clean, no disturbing noise, late check in, central location, free street parking from 18:00 to 08:00.
No padlock on the locker in the room. Towel has to be rented.

Small and crowded rooms.

The room was clean and well-maintained. There is a shared kitchen available, and nice break-out / lounge areas.
It was a little cold in the room during the night - I didn't want to leave the radiators turned on throughout the night. Also a little noisy outside but I did bring earplugs.

Central location, good wifi, great kitchen facilities (well stocked and organised) and common areas - big games room and several different areas to hangout. The building is old and full of character, glad to have lots of signage! The rooms are dated but fine, we had the McLeod suite and an en suite double room, both were comfy and clean. The staff were friendly.

Amazing location in the very centre of the city - right by the Desperate Dan statue.
Clean and comfortable dorm and bunk bed.
They let me switch rooms with no fuss as the first one was a bit noisy with the high street outside.
Good value for money.
No flexibility for a very slightly later checkout out of the room after 10am.

How the whole place has been constructed together from different buildings
That the lift wasn’t working

Its clean, central and bed was comfy. Building is old so a bit quirky. Lots of stairs.
The noise from the street is bad into the early hours, one night til 4.30am. The reception had free earplugs but i didnt know. Also someone took a shower for an entiew hour one night so there was no hot water the next morning.

A clean and no frills hostel as I was expecting.
Ample kitchen facilities if needed …. I went to a pub !
Free coffee n tea.
Adequate security on the rooms and hostel access.
Would stay again without hesitation.
A bit noisy in the evening but that is expected at most hostels in my experience…
Otherwise, no issue.

Nice hostel on The city,

The location was excellent and I loved the historic building. My room was surprisingly quiet, given it’s proximity to the High Street. I was impressed that towels and coffee making facilities were provided.
My only complaint was that the mattress wasn’t very comfortable and the pillows had seen better days

For me, this felt like a home from home. Amazing staff, a great atmosphere. Down-to-Earth.
There’s nothing really I didn’t like.
If you’re looking for luxury then this isn’t the place. It is an old building, one of the oldest in Dundee.

Very clean, historical building in the city center, big building with many ammeneties
Communal kitchen a bit dirty, many drunk people outside in the neighborhood

The hostel is in a historic building and has loads of charm. The room was spacious and cosy and had great views. Location is perfect and close to the station and right in the centre.
There is no lift and many stairs.

Excellent location, interesting building.
Noisy bed and environment - but that was my mistake booking in a hostel in the city centre.

Though given, the absence of lifts

Had character and sense of history
Terrible sleep for 3 nights due to the noise of the street. Paying ÂŁ60 a night for a noisy room and having to share a bathroom, and no breakfast strikes me as very expensive!

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The value for money is truly excellent — we stayed in a room with a private bathroom, and everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is perfect, close to everything we needed, and honestly, it didn’t lack anything compared to a typical rental room.
The staff at the reception were always friendly and helpful, ready to assist us with anything we needed. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely come back!

I booked a single room for one night and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. The hostel facilities were way better than expected - a large, well-supplied kitchen and a couple of large, comfy lounges, making it a decent base for a longer stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
The mattress was verging on saggy. There's a lot of stairs and no lift, though they state this clearly in advance so it wasn't a surprise, just worth knowing when you arrive tired.

Nothing but stairs are steep as it’s a 300 year old building

This is probably the nicest hostel I’ve ever booked. My room was large and clean. My private room also had a sink and tea kettle. The kitchen was large, clean, and well-organized. The property also has numerous public spaces, like a reading room and game room. The property is right in the city center and less than 10 minutes walk from both the train and bus stations.
Only a couple of things stopped me from rating this hostel a 10/10 (for a hostel). My room didn’t have anywhere for clothes, like a closet or even hanging rack. The bedding was too small, and my feet stuck out of the blankets all night. I had a room facing the main square, which got very loud at night.

The hostel was very central, great location and great view from our bedroom. We booked a private bedroom and even though it was with a shared toilet, the toilet was right outside the door and shared with only a few other rooms so always available and very clean. The whole hostel overall was impeccably clean, the room, the toilet especially and the common areas. We highly recommend it!

Location, comfy bed,, hot showers and well equipped kitchen. There’s also a reading room, tv and games room.
Security is good with keycard access.
Fridge space limited, kitchen reasonably keen but users not always cleaning up after themselves.
Heavy, noisy doors and squeaky floors but not surprising in such an old building.
It’s an interesting rabbit warren, possibly difficult if you have a problem with stairs.

Room was a bit smaller than I thought it would be but I had spend a couple of nights in a dorm and it was good to be in the room.
That it was so small but it did the job.

Still really love the building, location and staff. This time I used the kitchen too which could have been a bit cleaner but was spacious and well-stocked both with pans etc but also salt pepper oil and even a mini herb garden so you didn’t have to buy essentials you’d only use 1% of.
